The score is excellent. Excellent! Ok, lets talk basics;

Overture - I first heard the Phantom's Overture when I was about seven, and it just stuck. The power and malice of the music, and the utter impression of being there, under the espectacular chandelier in a majestic opera house, simply fascinated me.

Think Of Me - well..there's nothing much to say...if you are thinking of buying a 'Think Of Me', this is it! No-one can manage that final 'Of' like Sarah Brightman...I think SHE's the Angel Of Music...

Angel Of Music - At the time I was seven (long time ago...duhh), the best part of the album for me was the beggining (Meg and Christine exchanging ideas about the Angel Of Music in an extraordinarily sung discussion) and end (when the Phantom calls Christine to him from inside the mirror, and you can hear Raoul shouting from outside the room, his voice shaking; "Christine, Angel...!", and gives room to the dramatic "The Phantom Of The Opera" ) of "Angel Of Music".

The Phantom Of The Opera - what can I say about this song? The love, the drama, the rage and the poetry (i shiver every time I hear: "I am the mask you wear" "It's ME they hear")!!! The operatic flare and Sarah's ultimate vocalization is simply irreproducible! (I haven't heard anyone who can sing it like Sarah yet)

Music Of The Night - Michael Crawford shines once again!

Free Music Review: The greatest musical
Hit: 5 Stars

I have every last recording of Phantom, from German, Spanish, Japanese, Canadian and a ton of studio recordings, I must say this is by far one of the best recordings. Being a professional musician I can tell you the orchestrations are the most beautiful in any musical. Some musicals like Les Mis and Children of Eden only give you temporary goose bumps, but through out the entire recording of any Phantom you will have some. Many people have said that the lyrics are not good. I don't know where they get this! The lyrics are unimaginable, especially if you study music and decipher the hidden meanings behind the lyrics. I must say that because I know "secrets," the musical is a thousand times better. There is no fault with this recording that should be etched in stone, with the exception of Sarah Brightman. She has an incredible voice and proves it here, however, she sings louder and higher than God intended for her at some points. Rebecca Cain makes for a better Christine, but apparently there aren't many loyal Colm Wilkinson fans out there, so you may want to get this instead. I suppose after Colm did Les Mis, we just cannot fathom him as anyone other than Jean Valjean. Michael Crawford is an incredible POTO but other than that, his other works will never be half as good. If you want to buy a POTO CD, and would like it to be in English, this is it, pal.

Free Music Review: Why would anyone give this one star?
Hit: 5 Stars

For those of you who are thinking of buying this album I would highly recommend doing so I love this play and have seen it more times than anyone I know and as for those people who gave it low ratings they must be tone deaf becasue until you hear Antonio Bandares sing the Phantom you have absolutly no room to critisize Michal Crawford or anyone else who can sing as well as the people on this album do. I first saw this play when I was six and was completely mesmorized. I saw it again with my sister when I was nine and then once more when I was 11. This play has changed my entire life it got me interested in all kinds of music and because of it I started playing the violin which I have now been doing for six years. I have listened to this album science for many many years and it never gets old and I am completey apauled that people would insult Michal Crawford and Sara Brightman when they are the ones who started the phenomenon that we have all come to love and if not for them the movie whould not even be here and FYI Andrew Loyyed Webber made this play for Sara Brightman as an act of love and they have been married for quite a long time. This is my favorite CD in the world and I would reccommend it to anyone who enjoys classical music. Except for those of you who are tone deaf and cant tell the diffrence between singing and a screeching mule.

Free Music Review: You MUST get this CD!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Don't listen to the one-star reviews saying it's "trashy" or that it "sucks" or that it's "stupid" or that it's "crap". They are completely untrue. Sure, we can't all like the same thing, but at least be less harsh?...
Okay now, about the CD...astounding, amazing, incredible, a must buy!!! I have been a phan since 2002, and I listen to this over and over.
The cast: Michael Crawford is and always will be THE Phantom, and that is all there is to it. Sarah Brightman could add a little emotion to her voice but I was amazed at her vocal range. Steve Barton as Raoul was very good, and has a rich voice.
As for Firmin, Andre, Giry and Buquet, they all have good voices, although Buquets's is so low that it sounds fake.
Meg had a cute little voice, and I don't agree with reveiwers that say she sounds "like she has a potato in her throat".
Music: Outstanding!!! The overture is best by far, with that huge organ thundering it out in B flat. All the songs are great, I can't beilive anyone could call it "crap" because that is just incredibly rude.
Final point: Buy buy buy!!! Why are you reading this, anyway? Just look at the 4 and 3/4 star rating and you know it's good! Click on "Add To Shopping Cart" now!

Free Music Review: Nothing compares...
Hit: 5 Stars

Nothing will ever compare to the original recording of The Phantom of the Opera. Andrew Lloyd Webber is pure genius and it is his amazing ability that shines through every note, word, and minute of this musical.

This cast is also phenomenal. Sarah Brightman is indescribable. Her voice is beautiful and strong, yet bewildered and shy - as Christine is often portrayed. Michael Crawford is another amazing performer. He is by far my most favorite Phantom. His strength and range is unstoppable. He adds the perfect amount of power that is necessary to play the Phantom. Also, the brief moments of instability that the Phantom faces throughout the musical is greatly demonstrated within Crawford's voice.

I could go on forever about this cast, but I won't. I'll just say that everyone involved has the highest level of discipline and talent I have ever experienced.

I have loved this musical my entire life. Nothing can or will ever compare to that swift moment when the the chandelier explodes to life and the overture begins. It's heartstopping and heartbreaking.

The story itself is so moving, but once Andrew Lloyd Webber brought his version, and his music into the novel, it became one of the most breathtaking musical experiences ever created.
