This album is a stunning departure for Hunter. While you can't complain about any earlier stuff, it was definitely time to groove with a new sound. And Stefon Harris' vibes are the perfect move.

Yeah okay vibes do not mix with modern musical sensibilities. Vibes are like throwing out your G3 and stickin that Underwood back on your desk. My advice: do it. My Underwood never crashes. And Harris' vibes are so cool, so subtle, so sublime and rhythmic that you cannot resist. This is music that does not crash. This is music that flys and soars and moves you to new areas you have not enjoyed before.

Less funky than Hunter's earlier stuff, this album is melodic and musical, with Hunter and Harris playing off one another with stunning vitality. Stick some headphones on and listen to the harmonies. Amazing.

I guarantee, upon first listen this album will suck. But the best albums always do, because they are challenging you. This album has some new sounds, some new sensibilities. Believe me, they will grow on you. And this album will not leave your player for a long, long time.
