The cristalline, angelical voice of Charlotte give me a deep, exquisite emotion. During the listening I forgot all the daily troubles. She is able to bring me over a mystical cloud in a perfect, small angle of Paradise. I sadly think to those music-ignorant primitives that dare to compare the sub-mediocre Aselin Debison and her ridicoulous, tormenting voice to this fantastic, albeit young, singer. Pity. I have not paid too much attention to technique as some reviewers have. My interest in this album concerns the quality of the voice in communicating age, sex, health, and emotion. As an example of the human voice used to communicate through music this album (this voice) strikes me as a unique example that prompts discussion over what can be known about a person from the sound of their voice. As a comparison I often play Andrea Bocelli. How much about the person can you tell by the sound of her voice? Some have said that her voice sounds older and more mature than she is in this album. I would argue that her voice sounds her age but indicates health and training of precisely the sort she has. I would also agree with those that critique the emotional depth in some of these songs (Amazing Grace for example was mentioned) and agree that despite the beauty of the voice and the melody of the song, that the emotion expressed is that of a young girl. We can hear this not only in the sound of the voice - it is youthful certainly - but in the intonation that treats the melody as pure melody and not as communication. This is a highly trained young voice in a very healthy and strong young girl and that is why it sounds so wonderful.

I was just reading reviews here in amazon and I noticed (and was shocked by) the review by "a music fan" called "at least she tried". This person says they use her CD for a frisbee! Utter sacrilige! Let ME give you an unbiased, completely true and UNJEALOUS review of Charlotte's voice: it's absolutely incredible, amazing, beautiful. Her voice is a once-in-history phenomenon that will never happen again. I love this album. Charlotte's voice is simply . . . angelic. What else can I say? "Pie Jesu", her signature song, is so lovely you can listen to it over and over and over and never tire of it, and her "Ave Maria" is hauntingly beautiful. I love every song in this album, but "Pie Jesu", "In Trutina", "Danny Boy", and "When at Night I Go to Sleep" are my favorites. Don't listen to the negative reviews: they are FALSE. Charlotte's voice is crystal-clear, soaring and full, and anyone can enjoy this album if they not are so jealous of her amazing talent like some amazon.com reviewers seem to be. I have the Voice of an Angel CD. Charlotte Church was only a child when she recorded this album (about 13 years old) but she doesn't have a child's singing voice at all. She sounds so mature and angelic. I am a singer and I really look up to her singing voice. I would totally recommend Voice of an Angel to anyone who appreciates classical music.Free Music Review: Lovely,Lovely ,Lovely!!!!

This Charlotte Church CD is the first one that I've heard and I really love it. Her voice is so sweet and full of character.
I think that Pie Jesu, When At Night I Go To Sleep,Panis Angelicus,Ave Maria, and I Vow To Thee My Country are several of the BEST songs on here that she sings.
All in all, I believe this girl really has the Voice Of An Angel!
