Free Music Notes for Voice of an AngelFree Music Review: A Sublimely Inspiring Voice that Raises the Spirits. Hit: 5 Stars
I was amazed at the Amazon reviewer's negative comments, and curious about the other detractors. (And sorry to see fellow singers near her own age so clearly expressing their jealousy over her voice getting attention and not theirs.) As to physical concerns - yes, it's possible her voice may be being pushed too much at too early an age and that's tragic. THE POINT OF A REVIEW, HOWEVER, IS TO COMMENT UPON THE MUSICAL PERFORMANCE ITSELF! She's wonderful - I'm not deeply "religious" but find her hymns so beautifully rendered that there are moments I could cry from the beauty. The folk songs make a nice balance for the album. I hope for the world's sake, that her career can mature along with her. She's given our family many moments of pleasure.
Free Music Review: An amazing gift from God to the world Hit: 5 Stars
Every day the Lord gives us something new to rejoice about. Charlotte Church does have the voice of an Angel. At least, the way I would think an Angel would sound. I hope that this young lady will continue to remember where she got this incredible voice and always use it for Gods Glory and not compromise this gift of song just to confrom to what the world wants to hear. She is without doubt the most talented thirteen year old singer I've ever seen and she deserves the recognition only few will obtain. God has truly given us a gift in this young lady and everyone should thank Him for it. She is an inspiration to us all and someday I would lke to see her perform. Charlotte, Thank you for giving us the Voice of an Angel. Tim Hicks Dallas Texas.
Free Music Review: Charlotte church is the best Hit: 5 Stars
This is the beginning of Charlotte Church. It came out like in '99. I was so amazed by her voice that I had to go and get the cd. Wow, her voice is amazing and always will be in my opinion. Even, though she has a pop album out I still like it. Also plan on buying it too. There are so many good songs on the cd. It's hard to choose because her voice is angelic. For some people who think she has a kind of boy/girl voice- don't know what their talking about. Listen closely the next time you play it. I'm starting out in singing opera and Charlotte is my role model. There is no voice like her yet, even Hayley Westerna, who also has a beautiful voice...can't be in Charlotte Church's shoes. Hopefully, she'll go back to her classical music or just do both.
Free Music Review: Everyone was jealous of the girl with the gift... Hit: 5 Stars
When the world is given a gift, it is always exploited, criticized, and rebuked by critics who believe they are the "GODs" of knowledge. Why can't people just embrace miracles and beauty instead of always finding fault and error? Charlotte has a beautiful voice. Who is to say that it is not "perfect"? What is the definition of "perfect" anyway? This young lady is gifted, no debate. How many 13-year-olds do you know that can sing "Pie Jesu?" How many kids can sing period? My point is, instead of criticizing Charlotte, why not just sit back and enjoy her talent and beauty for what it is and not what it should, could, or may be. Enjoy it for the beauty and peace it offers now.
Free Music Review: Her critics are way off base Hit: 5 Stars
Voice of an Angel is a lovely and luminous CD. If her critics think Charlotte Church is doing something wrong, they should calm down and know this simple fact: Now that Sony knows it's got a hit-making star to look after you can be sure she's receiving superior voice training, the very best that money can buy. Any talk of her wearing out her vocal cords is ludicrous. As for the flaws in her technique, I'd keep some of them if I were her because: 1) no normal person notices or cares anyway, 2) they probably contribute in some way to her distinctly ethereal sound ("if it ain't broke, don't fix it"), and 3) technique continues to evolve; maybe she's got it right and the rest of you are wrong... platinum CD sales don't lie.
