I really like this CD ALOT! I think that Charlotte is a good role model for people who also wish to become classical singers. I can't even imagine how many hours of singing lessons it would take to get that good. I'm especially amazed, because I'm also 12, and that's the age that Charlotte was when she made this CD. My favorite song is "My Lagan Love", because I like the harp or other string insturment that accompanies it. I also enjoyed "Pie Jesu", "Danny Boy", and "I Vow to Thee, My Country". I have the tape, and it hasn't been out of my tape player since I got it at Christmas, and I never get bored of it. I hope, someday, to even be close to as excellent a singer as Charlotte Church!Free Music Review: Hype? No way!

I keep seeing the h-word (hype) being thrown around in regards to CC. It just ain't so. She gets practically no radio airplay, her TV appearances are usually limited to one song (her wonderful PBS special being the exception), and she doesn't show up on MTV five times a day. She gets nowhere near as much publicity as Madonna, LeAnn Rimes or Britney Spears (the POSTER CHILD for hype). Word of mouth, people recommending this CD to others, is what sells "Voice of an Angel". She's practically owned Billboard's Classical Crossover charts since March, and her new CD, titled simply "Charlotte Church", comes out in November. It's a good bet she'll eventually occupy Number One AND Number Two on the chart.Free Music Review: An Album that Proves that Classical Music is Alive

Charlotte Church has done a great deal to bring Classical Opera into the public view. This beautiful style of music is exemplified by the innocence of Miss Church's singing, In relpy to the young reviewer from Maine, though in your view Miss Church may not have the best voice on the Classical Music Scene, her presence there signifies that Classical music is popular, and a young face always renews interest. If you want to be a classicaly trained soprano, be glad that there is someone making way in the public view, and your field will be accepted as a popular form of Music. I once wrote a really embarrassing review here, trashing this girl like she was some kind of Britney Spears. She's not (thank God!). I bought this CD like two years ago and every now and then I think to myself, "Don't trash this girl; she's just started and she's already a superstar." True, I actually ended up liking this CD after all, and I would certainly cringe if Charlotte were to yell out her lines like all those so-called "divas" (God forbid!). It's beyond me why she and Andrea Bocelli were mentioned alongside other pop-classical risers like Filippa Giordano with respect to "awful" pseudo-classical arrangements. This type of classical exists, so Charlotte's done her part indeed.Free Music Review: Charlotte another complment ! ! !

I liked it when I saw your conscert on televishion! ! ! I think it was wonderfull! I am still mad at the libary though, becausse two or three weeks ago they said they would call me back when they had yea in and they still haven't ! I know I'm being inpachent, but I can't wate to here the other songs, and neather can my aunt! I hope my aunts there when they call ! Or elsse she will have to wate untell she comes over again ! The songs I liked, that I herd that is, all of them, espeshley " The Lords Prear!" I can not wate to here the rest ! I also like Sarah Brightman's " One night in Eden!" Do you? And I like Britney spears " Baby one more Time. " Thats all theough! See yea.
