I think this is Chely's best ever release. I love the fact that she wrote & co-wrote most of the songs on this one. "The River" , "Between A Mother & A Child" & "Southside Of Lonesome" are esp. really emotional pure country songs. They are my favorite three. Chely is an amazing singer , song writer & person. "Metropolitan Hotel" is a wonderful CD. I heard Chely in concert Oct of 04 and she sang many of these songs so I was very anxious for the CD to come out. All of the songs are equally good and there isn't a "skipper" in the bunch. You will want to listen to all 12 songs many times over. There is not one song on this disk that I don't like. I am so happy she has put "The River" and "Bumper of My SUV" on this album. You should buy this CD and buy some for your friends, Chely has worked very hard to get where she is and we sould support her.Free Music Review: Great CD

I'm a very liberal Democrat and anti-military, (as well as a member of a family with a large number of Marines and Army soldiers) but I was still moved by the song, "The Bumper of my S.U.V." Great CD.
