Free Music Review: A Lost Classic, Found!
Hit: 5 Stars

Chicago is one of the great bands of all time with a body of work that rivals any group and surpasses most. They have never gotten the respect that they deserve. This "lost classic" showcases the talent and creativity of this legendary group in the mid '90's when traditional rock was losing it's personality. While everyone else was just immitating the sound of the many "grunge" bands, Chicago did something really bold and musical with "Stone of Sisyphus". This is highly recommended for anyone that loves the "Chicago sound" and appreciates the intense musicianship that they create.

Free Music Review: Warner 's says unrealeseable , I say corporate stupidity.
Hit: 5 Stars

How Warner Bros. thought this album was not good enough to release baffles me. For me to give a Chicago album a high rating that didn't have Terry Kath (rest his soul), or Peter Cetera is rare. But this album take the cake. This album is really enjoyable and yes there are some power ballads , but they are not watered down sugar coated sap, like the KOST 103 80's Chicago. and although it is still not as good as the classic original lineup, it is a album that is well worth it's credit deserved. It might even open my mind to listen to other recent Chicago releases .

Free Music Review: The old days revisited
Hit: 5 Stars

Just listened to the CD today and what a treat. Too bad it took 15 years to be released. You can hear much of the old Chicago style on this CD. When I first heard "Bigger Than Elvis" my first thought was that this song rivals my favorite Chicago tune, "Colour My World". The variety and style of songs on SOS clearly reminds me of Chicago's early (CTA through VIII) albums, although you need to be able to stomach Bill Champlin's vocals. Overall, if you are a fan of Chicago, like music with lots of horns and different styles, then this is worth your money.

Free Music Review: Makes you 5 Stars

The best thing Chicago has done since Chicago V (imo). This one has it all, driving rockers, ballads, those quirky, delicious trademark Chicago horn riffs, even rap! Lamm, Champlin and Scheff all at their best on lead vocals. Amazing. I can't believe the recording execs that were in charge back in 93 thought this wasn't "commercially viable" or whatever drivel they were spouting back then that kept this masterpiece from being released. Makes you wonder how it would have done if released when some of the tracks would have gotten decent airplay.

Free Music Review: Get On This? Get Over It!
Hit: 5 Stars

Why rate this CD low because "Get On This", a song you only know because of the bootleg recordings anyway, was left off? The band member who wrote that song is no longer with this band. I'm sure it was ultimately a royalty issue. Get over it people! Rate the CD for what it is...not what you think it should have been. I also cannot believe that someone rated this CD based on the short samples provided here. Unreal. If you are a Chicago fan, buy the CD and enjoy it. Sales thus far show that people are doing just that.
