I have really enjoyed this CD. I am a Van Halen fan from way back - one who appreciates both the DLR and Hagar eras. I was glad to see Sammy and Michael back together. This is a CD of 4 hall-of-fame rockers jamming and having a great time. The only track that is outstanding, for me, was "Sexy Little Thing". There are 4 other really good tracks, and the rest are good fillers (easy enough to listen to, but nothing you will be singing to yourself in 6 months.
Many reviewers have framed their review in terms of some percieved feud with Eddie Van Halen, or as a platform for Joe Satriani to showcase his awesome guitar work or some other pre-conceived notion. This CD will answer none of the Van Halen questions, it will not launch Joe Satriani to a new level and it will not make you burn your Led Zepplin albums. It is what it is; fun rock and roll.
