Free Music Notes for Christmas ExtraordinaireFree Music Review: AWESOME Hit: 5 Stars
The CD arrived today and it is fantastic. The music and arrangements are just wonderful. On Hallelujah, you can feel the bass in your bones...White Christmas is so moving, I got misty eyed...Do You Hear What I Hear..makes you visualize a big bright shining star, twinkling in the night. There is not one bad song on the CD. I could listen to it over and over...which I have. I have all the previous Steamroller Christmas CDs, but this one is probably the best by far. I am so glad I bought two of the boxed sets for gifts, this CD is included. If you are a Mannheim Steamroller fan, you gotta have this one.
Free Music Review: It is EXTRAORDINARY! Hit: 5 Stars
This album is breathtaking. I have been a fan of their Christmas music for years and I cannot comprehend looking at my tree or opening presents without their music playing. After the rather strange "Christmas Angel" album, this is a great comeback.I agree with several other reviewers that I could have done without Johnny Mathis singing "O Tannenbaum." I think it would have been much better as simply an intrumental. It was a bit startling to suddenly hear a solo voice when the only other voices heard before were those in choirs. Even so, I recommend it. It is beautiful.
Free Music Review: Big Thumbs UP! Hit: 5 Stars
A women i used to talk to send me "Christmas 1984" as a gift one christmas. It was the only Christmas Music i found not to be depressing. Best buys ad had "Christmas Extraordinaire" on sale last Christmas and since i liked the other cd so much figured i would give this one a try. Thanks to the internet i could listen to some tracks and ordered it. I think these 2 cd's are the best Christmas Music you can find. I like them so much that i bought a Creative Labs NOMAD MuVo TX FM 256 MB MP3 Player just so i could take them with me everywhere i go. I even like listening to them threw out the year.
Free Music Review: Great Addition to the Mannheim Steamroller Collection Hit: 5 Stars
I wasn't aware that another Christmas CD was coming out until I saw it in the store. I had to have it right then and there. I saw MAnnheim Streamroller last year in Cleveland and it was a great night. I can't imagine a Christmas season without the sounds from all of these CDs. Hallelujah (from "The Messiah") is right up there with other first cuts from the previous releases. Fum, Fum, Fum is a great arrangement. I could do without Johnny Mathis on this CD. Buy this, add it to your collection. You will not be disappointed if you like the other offereings.
Free Music Review: Another Triumph for Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the Fourth offical Christmas Album by Chip Davis andMannheim Steamroller, and I think it is the best sounding of the bunch. The only problem I have with their albums is that they are over too soon! I think the reason that Chip decided to ask Johnny Mathis to sing on this album is that like a lot of folks Chip probably grew up listening to Mr. Mathis singing carol and songs on his Christmas Albums and wanted to pay a little homage to him. Which is alright by me. Keep up the good work Chip and Mannheim Steamroller!! Happy Holidays!
