I am a huge Chris Botti fan, but I think here Chris equates dragging, dirge-like playing for feelings. The whole thing seems so utterly lacking in passion, and of course PASSION is synonymous with Italian music.
And, Dean Martin......come on. He's old enough to be dead, and sounds it.
The entire album LACKS life and feelings and soul.
It's a total LIFELESS DRAG.
