Chris has really proven consistently that he is capable of thoughtful, beautiful music and this CD is no exception. With the arrangement talents of Jeremy Lubbock, Gil Goldstein, and Bobby Colomby the performances are, each one, an incredible example of romanticism and incredible musicianship!
For my opinion Chris Botti is a breath of fresh air to jazz in a somewhat stale industry tied to the music and rhythms of the past. Do yourself a favor and invest in a CD that will bring pleasure and beautiful sounds to your life.

It's so hard to put my feelings for this CD into words. I'm not usually that emotional, but I almost cried when I heard it for the first time. The arrangements are beautiful and Chris' phrasing is tender and a little melancholy. Paula Cole was the perfect choice for the vocals. I was mesmerized the instant I heard the first cut. I love these old standards, but most musicians don't do them justice. Man, this CD is the ultimate metrosexual soundfest. Candlelight dinner, a bottle of red, and Botti in the background (tie and cuff links required). If she is not in your arms by track 13 (Time to Say Goodbye), you must have done something seriously wrong to screw it up.
Botti, keep up the good work. When I Fall In Love, a new addition that sits atop the gentleman's playlist for a romantic evening. Wait until you see the look she gives you. Hubba, hubba.

Very romantic soft feel to this CD. Sensually tasteful and invigorating at the same time. Something you can wind down to at night while sipping a cup of tea or just sharing time with that special someone. I had heard one or two songs from this artist's old CD some time back and decided to order this cd several mths ago and have played it almost every night since May. This is music that everyone can enjoy regardless of preference. Another MUST buy!!Free Music Review: Fall in love and make love.

I first heard Chris Botti's music at one of the sound booths they have at Borders Books and Music. THANK GOD. Very talented trumpet player. Reminded me of Herb Alpert. WHEN I FALL IN LOVE is a must have CD. Especially now for Valentine's Day. Seduce your significant other for a very romantic, sensual night. Play it on a rainy day and relax. Let Biotti take you away while you take a bath. (Paula Cole and Sting make vocal guest appreances.)
