"My Life is a Country Song" is his greatest work, and hands down - a MUST BUY. Chris has atleast 3-4 top 20 hits on this album, such as catchy songs such as "My Life is a Country song", "No love songs", "What Kinda Gone" and "Little Sundress". For the slower songs, I can bet "I Don't Wanna Live" will go top 10. This is my 1st Chris Cagle album and I am thrilled I picked it on presale. After listening to the Album I can see why "What Kinda Gone" is sitting high on the charts. What a great song and what a brilliant album. I am now working on my audience with his album. I highly recommend this album to review readers you will not be dissappointed. Great Country music. Chris Cagle's new release, "My Life's Been a Country Song" is his best album yet.
It's one of those albums you just put in or find on your iPod that makes you feel good--- it's a feel good record.
He's never been a traditionalist, more of a rockin', pop-influenced country artist, and this album is no exception. This is Chris Cagle's style, and he's true to it. He's settled into his own as an artist and isn't trying to be anyone he's not.
He didn't write or co-write any of the songs, which is always a bit of a disappointment, but he leaves that to professionals. This sometimes is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes the songs flow together, sometimes they seem forced and overwritten. In those rare cases, the rockin' arrangements and vocals make up for it.
My favorite song on this album is the title track, "My Life's Been a Country Song". It's well on its way to being one of my all-time favorites. "Little Sundress" is great too (although very Kenny Chesney-like... not a bad thing).
Go out and buy this album. It's a great time.

Great Album. Picked it up Wednesday and have only had a chance to listen through it three times so far (it's Friday), but it's classic Cagle...although, I guess there is a lot more writing credit on this disk. Either way, it's great. I definitely recommend it.
