Free Music Notes for Carry OnFree Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 StarsI have no idea why some of these reviews written by "Cornell fans" are so strongly aginst this album.
I left this album in my car cd player for about a month straight and could not get enough of it...the majority of the tracks are excellent.
I hope that it does not end up as underrated as his first solo album.
His voice may be getting strained after all these years of abusing it with his aggressive singing, but he still manages to make it work on this album.
Free Music Review: a good continuation of euphoria mornig Hit: 4 StarsNot exactly what you would expect from a guy who used to front Soundgarden and Audioslave but a good effort. "No Such Thing" rocks but you can see the soul influence on other songs. Cornell is singing well on this album, not the flatout sound from some Audioslave tracks but still great range. The Bond song is exactly what the Bond song is supposed to be.
Free Music Review: Great album, great artist Hit: 5 StarsNice album from the soudgarden leader, the natural continuity of his first solo album Euphoria Morning
Free Music Review: Great for Cornell Fans Hit: 5 StarsIf you enjoy Chris Cornell's solo stuff, you will love this album. If you are expecting rehash of Soundgarden and/or Audioslave, which I love as well, you might be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Versatile and sincere... Hit: 5 StarsChris Cornell's voice is at its best here. The palette of emotion he expresses is rich and tinted with nuances, the sound powerful yet stripped of deliberate heaviness and mannerisms. True, it lacks the organic cohesion of his debut solo album, and feels a bit choppy in comparision, but overall the album is strong and sincere. "You Know My Name" is an absolute gem!
