Free Music Notes for Carry onFree Music Review: What is there not to like? Hit: 5 Stars
I can understand all the poor reviews..You may have been expecting something more like Soundgarden/Audioslave but this is not that at all. It is Cornell doing what he wants. Which is amazing songwriting. And what about the voice? Still one of the top voices in the business. How can you not get your teeth knocked in with No Such Thing? Then mellow out with Arms Around Your Love and other great songs such as Ghosts, Killing Birds, Silence The Voices...Ah, too many good things about this album. Just have to get it and listen to it a few times and you'll understand.
Free Music Review: It's a Monumental Step to Realize your'e Talents are Monogamous Hit: 5 Stars
To realize your talents can fly on there own and re-shape a music genre to solo perform it at it's root are all the things Chris Cornell has accomplished here.
The songs are thoughtful, intimate, and resounding to say the least. I'm glad the
voice of this eclectic icon has found a temperment all it's own, standing alone
his lyrics and voice carry the stage on there own, and will stand the test of time and never be out-dated. His style will become Timeless without the band drowning out his true testment..."Himself" * * * * * Excellent listening
Free Music Review: perfect album Hit: 5 Stars
Often times when the lead singer of a band makes a solo effort it sounds like material that they could easiliy do with the band they sing for. Steve Perry you know who you are. This , howver, is not one of those albums. Chris Cornell song writing is excellently driven by his musicianship. It reminds you of great singer/songwriters like Rufus Wainwright and the Late Jeff Buckley. Yeah, it really is that good.He puts so much of emotion in songs that it will give chills. This a perfect album and possibly deservs conciderable recognition for album of the year.
Free Music Review: Chris Cornell Carry on Hit: 5 Stars
Chris Cornell has come a long way since his days in Soundgarden. As much as all his projects have been great in their own way there is nothing better than his solo projects.
This CD not only shows how he is maturing with his music but how his voice just gets better with time. I often say like a fine wine :)
It is the most mellow Cd I think he has ever done but yet it hold me from start to finish. Even if you are not a huge Soundgarden or Cornell fan you can still enjoy this CD.
great piece of work!!
Free Music Review: "Carry On" is great! Hit: 5 Stars
"Carry On" is great! A great second solo effort from Chris Cornell (Audioslave, Temple Of The Dog, & Soundgarden)! All of the songs on here are great.
