Free Music Notes for Carry onFree Music Review: Great solo album! Hit: 5 Stars
I love the new cd! It gets better and better the more I listen to it and is on its way to being one of my favorites. It's different than anything he's done, which is refreshing. It's still Chris Cornell though...creative lyrics, great music, amazing voice! It shows his growth and maturity pesonally and as an artist. It's an album album that would fit in with anyone's collection, regardless of your main music taste, and offers a little something for everyone. I would definitely recommed it!
Free Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 Stars
I have no idea why some of these reviews written by "Cornell fans" are so strongly aginst this album.
I left this album in my car cd player for about a month straight and could not get enough of it...the majority of the tracks are excellent.
I hope that it does not end up as underrated as his first solo album.
His voice may be getting strained after all these years of abusing it with his aggressive singing, but he still manages to make it work on this album.
Free Music Review: A must have for Cornell fans Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is a must have for true Cornell fans. I feel it really shows his maturity, versatility and ability to take listeners down a new path while the constant of 'the voice' always being there. It is not hard to see (or hear) why Chris Cornell has been a highly successful musician for over 20 years. That kind of staying power does not happen by doing the same thing over and over and over. On this CD, I especially love Ghosts, Arms Around Your Love and Your Soul Today.
Free Music Review: A Very Mature Artist Hit: 5 Stars
Chris Cornell has recorded one of the finest collections of songs in his storied career. This CD does not suffer from the sameness of sound Audioslave was sometimes guilty of. Some of Chris' best songs are on this CD. Open your ears & open your mind when you listen to this one. The songs Poison Eye, She'll Never Be Your Man, & Billie Jean are reason enough to buy this. Great production & arrangements on every song. Great Job!!!
Free Music Review: Don't listen to the naysayers Hit: 5 Stars
If I'd listened to the folks that gave bad or mediocre reviews on this album I would have missed another awesome ensemble of Chris' unique spin on life. The tones on all of the tracks would move anyone no matter what music preference. You can't have a biased point of view or it would take away from both the message of each song and sound. Give it a shot and skip the bad reviews. Enjoy!
