Free Music Notes for Carry onFree Music Review: Like Johnny Cash with Hurt Hit: 5 Stars
Chris Cornell has taken a song from it's writer/performer and made it his own. I hope MJ is as graceful about it as Trent Reznor was.
Billie Jean is nothing short of in-credible, it just has a feeling to it.
The rest of Carry On does just that, It's loaded with varying music styles and feelings. It's well worth listening to again and again.
Free Music Review: Versatile and sincere... Hit: 5 Stars
Chris Cornell's voice is at its best here. The palette of emotion he expresses is rich and tinted with nuances, the sound powerful yet stripped of deliberate heaviness and mannerisms. True, it lacks the organic cohesion of his debut solo album, and feels a bit choppy in comparision, but overall the album is strong and sincere. "You Know My Name" is an absolute gem!
Free Music Review: Audioslave and Soundgarden fans will be pleased with this CD Hit: 5 Stars
A Wonderful collection of tunes including the theme from James Bond's Casino royal, this collection includes the hard-hitting "She'll Never Be Your Man" and the Soundgarden-esque "My Blind Eye". Cornell has really matured greatly from his last solo offering, and combines his Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden and Audioslave stylings into a cohesive whole.
Free Music Review: What I expected Hit: 5 Stars
What I expected. You can't have the same album every time. It is a little different but it's solid. I can tell his first solo record is better but so what. This album is still good at first listen. I really wish Soundgarden would make another album but that probably won't happen because the drummer has been in Pearl Jam for over eight years now.
Free Music Review: Can't stop listening! Hit: 5 Stars
This is a really great album with songs that really get inside your head and stay with you. I love the bonus tracks the UK release offers. His voice is amazing, can't get enough of it. Highly recommended, especially if you want to hear him doing something a little bit different but with a style that is still distinctly Cornell.
