Free Music Notes for ArrivingFree Music Review: It's Indescribable!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Enough said about Chris Tomlin's latest album, Arriving. I don't want to repeat what others have already stated but would just like to add another "5 stars" and my own opinion about this worship collection. Songs like Indescribable, Holy is the Lord and How Great is our God are songs I can never stop listening to, whether it's in the car, at home or in my cubicle. It's packed with powerful words that will thrill you away with the Lord. Along with the songbook, you too can learn how to play these songs on your guitar. Other great songs such as Unfailing Love, The Way I Was Made, and All Bow Down are songs that gets better every time. You may not like some songs at first, like I did when I first heard it, but after awhile, the words clicked in and everything just makes sense. The only down side to this cd is the fact that it's too short (less than 50 min). But still, that is a minor problem. I don't care whether you borrow it, rent it, download it or buy it, just get a hold of it and listen to it. It's worth every second you spend listening to this album.
Free Music Review: The Album of the Year Has Arrived!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I really don't know how you can't like this album, or the singer. Chris Tomlin has a wonderful voice that's soothing for all ages. You clearly see (in all the songs) his love for the lord in every track.
This album also has some terrific songs. Holy is the Lord, for one, is a stand alone classic that is played in lots of churches and is a great worship song. Tracks like Indescribable and How Great is Our God are also tracks that will get a lot of stereo time. Unfailing Love and King of Glory are some of my personal favorites. This album is very balanced with Christian Rock and slower songs that praise the lord.
Bottom line: The only reason NOT to like this cd is because you don't like Chris Tomlin, or you don't love God. This is a must-have for all ages and, as I said earlier, a classic!!! It will be great to see Tomlin's next album, See the Morning, in September 2006!!!
Free Music Review: Great CD...best yet from Chris Tomlin! Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not a huge praise & worship fan, because for a while there it was simply a fad, not really "praise." That being said, I LOVE this CD. I was going to buy it from my CD club because I love the song "Indescribable." Well, when I found out I was going to see Steven Curtis Chapman/Chris Tomlin/Casting Crowns in concert, I wanted to buy it there. Well, the CD is AWESOME! Chris Tomlin is one of the few praise & worship artist I love, b/c the words to his songs are always so beautiful, and they actually MEAN something. Anyway, they're all great, but since I've already mentioned "Indescribable," I'll let you in on another favorite of mine...perhaps my favorite on the entire CD...It's "On Our Side." This is a GREAT song! It's the "interactive" song in Chris's concerts now, and he has everybody swaying and clapping like a gospel choir, then he has you sing it like the gospel choir. It's so fun!
Free Music Review: A Jewel Among Pebbles Hit: 5 Stars
I am only writing a review for this album two years after it was released and it's a shame I only found this jewel of a cd. However, better late than never. This, hands down, so far is the best worship album I have ever had the pleasure of finding and listening to.
I didnt know much of Chris Tomlin. I had ony heard 'Indescribable' on chrisian radio and I always thought that God, Himself must love that song. I bought the entire cd for that song but instead I got an eleven track treasure.
Chris Tomlin focuses on pure worship. There's no us involved here. It's all about God and that's what makes this cd so unique.
The music is of excellent quality, upbeat, catchy and stirring all at the same time. You can not doubt Chris Tomlin's love for the Lord. It's infectious and I would like to congratulate Chris Tomlin on such an amazing effort.
Free Music Review: Chris Tomlin has arrived Hit: 5 Stars
Chris Tomlin is not new to the modern Christian music scene, but this album definitely indicates his arrival as a rising star. It is probably the strongest worship album I have heard this year because it has so many strong songs on it. The album delivers from the first song - Indescribable to the last, You do all things well.
Chris is known as a great worship leader who has been involved in some of the Passion and One Day festivals, but it is nice to see that he is creating his own voice and finding his own place among the stars of modern Christian music.
I highley recommend this album to any Chris Tomlin fan. If you are not familiar with his songs, this is a great starting place. Or, if you like the Passion CDs, and/or One Day albums you will definitely enjoy this one as well.
