This CD is WONDERFUL! I have listened to it for two months straight. Its addictive. This woman can sing and her lyrics are impeccable. Im tired of listening to the CD but cant seem to take it out of the player. Every time I attempt I feel as though something's missing from the day. I can't wait till her next CD comes out. Buy it. If you KNOW music then you will know this woman has potential to raise the bar. Vocally the Ashanti's and Beyonce's of the have NOTHING on this chic. This is one of the most joyful cds I have heard in a long time. Even when she is singing sad songs she can't help inserting joy into her songs. Another album that is not about the bump and grind. Chrisette Michele is...a revelation.
Her voice is NAHSTY - the power, the texture, the styling, the phrasing...
AND she is versatile; she can be oh so graceful on one cut, then swagger on the next, and DELIVER on both.
AND she can tickle the ivories and compose.
Listening to radio these days has a way of discouraging the discriminating music/ soul lover. But then a Erykah Badu/Jill Scott/Bilal/Ledisi/(a few others), and now, Chrisette Michele comes along to help us keep the faith...

it's good album, it's easy to listen to.It was recommended to me by my daughter who likes this album.Chrisette Michelle has a voice like some of the great women singers in the 50's &60's.She has a nice voice!!!
