Free Music Review: this album was way better than critics say....

christina milian is just great overall. she she has something about her that just makes me like her. i hated it when people said she is trying to be like beyonce with the blonde hair. well she looks way better than beyonce with the hair is you ask me. and she does not holler through entire songs. christina is just cute and is a great dancer. i loved 'am to pm' from a few years back.
the best track on the album is "i need more' this song is just funky and hot. this songs sounds just like britney spears 2004 hit 'toxic' (which is not a bad thing at all).
'dip it low' is a great song and video. i like the album version better than the video version. the album version sounds like a reggae/r&b vibe. she looks amazing in that video. the choreography is just brilliant (the move when she is falling to the ground is just groundbreaking). 'highway' is a hot slow song. this sounds like janet jackson's 2001 song 'would you mind' minus the moans and groans. 'whatever you want' w/ jow budden is alright. i dont like joe budden at all. he is just terrible.
the album is really hot. critics say that this album should have took longer to be released. some of the stuff was recorded years ago and sound good now. well here is a rating that youi critics cannot take....

"Dip It Low" is the only reasonably catchy song here. The rest is pure, unmitigated filler that can never even hope to meet up with today's standards of enjoyable pop music. Instead of making one hit and then slavishly slopping together an album, they should have maybe released the single and then waited a long time to put together an album so it would actually be consistently good. first off, i bought this CD cuz i liked the song "dip it low" and had high hopes there would be other good songs like that. To me, that`s the best song on the album. other songs seem to be lacking something, but i`m not saying the rest are bad, I just think she can do better. Christina got a good voice but not the greatest songs to use it on. I find that there are too many ballads and not enough faster songs like "dip it low" and "get loose". I also think she should of only had one song with joe budden, fabolous is a better rapper in my opinion. Here`s what i think of the song`s.1. INTRO: this intro is okay, the guy in the background should have been left out, sounds weird with his noises. 5/10
2. DIP IT LOW feat. fabolous: 1st single. like i said, best song on the album. The beat is hot and the song well produced. 10/10
3. I NEED MORE: 2nd best song, good beat and music. you just wanna turn up the volume and sing along with this one. 9/10
4.WHATEVER U WANT feat. joe budden: 2nd single. don`t like this one much, it`s ok but not half as good as the 1st single "dip it low" definatly wouldn`t be my pick for the 2nd single. 6/10
5. SOMEDAY ONE DAY: not a bad song, but still lacking something, a little boring to me. 7.5/10
6. HIGHWAY: don`t let the title fool you, sounds like it should be a fast song for a car, but it`s not at all. another slow, kinda boring song about sex. ZZZZZZZ....... 6.5/10
7. I`M SORRY: yet again, another ballad. I dunno why they put 3 ballads in a row! should of spaced them out. This is probably the best one though. it`s more catchy and just sounds better then track 5 and 6. 8.5/10
8. GET LOOSE: Finally!, a fast song! this is a really good song, would be great for the dance bars. The beat is high and the music sounds awesome. 3rd favorite song, although could be tied with "I need more". 9/10
9. L.O.V.E. feat joe budden: as i said earlier, 1 song with joe budden is enough. This song is pretty good with a nice beat, but could be better (in my opinion). 8/10
10. PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY: this is another fast up beat song. the lyrics are not the greatest, but sometimes songs are still pretty good when u can just have fun with the lyrics and let loose. 8.5/10
11. MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY: this is a really nice ballad. very catchy and singable, i can really see this being a single. This and "i`m sorry" are the best slow songs to me. 8.5/10
12. OH DADDY: this is a song about her father, about him leaving the family and starting a new one ect. A good ending for the CD, cool song. 9/10
Overall a pretty good album, just a few not so good songs.

Christina Milian has 2 styles on her album It's About Time. One is her sexy, funky side. Upbeat dance tracks that will make you move. The other is sexy and boring. Her dance tracks are killer. First single Dip it Low is hot, sexy, and undeniably catcy. Second single Whatever You Want is even better. Its fun, and one of those tracks you always gotta dance too. Peanut Butter and Jelly, while a silly title, is still hot. However, the rest of the album is filler. Boring ballads about love. Christina Milian doesn't have the best of voices. Shes right there with JLO and Ashanti. Girls who can kind of sing, so when she tries to sing ballads, her voice is very thin and breathy and makes some of the songs unlistenable. It would help if they were at least good songs. I do like Christina Milian. She has some awesome dance tracks. She just needs to stick with those and forget those boring, droppy ballads.
