Free Music Notes for Christmas With The Letterman
Free Music Review: a nice Christmas album

This album is clearly remastered from the days of LPs. It has only 10 tracks, but they are certainly pleasant. The Lettermen sing with their signature sound. The vocals are good, the instrumentals have a light jazz feel. This is an enjoyable album. The downside is the few number of tracks and the biggest deficiency is a total lack of liner notes. Surely this album deserves some historical perspective, comments about the Lettermen, or recognition to the arrangers. "The First Noel" has a very early '60s feel. This is a nostalgic time capsule of a time still influenced by the '50s, before things became to turbulent and changed so dramatically. Recommended as a nice addition to a Christmas CD collection. You will get a good album, although not necessarily a great one. It makes a nice break when you tire of other Christmas sounds.
