Free Music Review: Great Chuck Berry Anthology
Hit: 5 Stars

As long as Chuck Berry as been around, you know that there will always be multiple greatest hits collections released, and people will always argue over which one is best. I haven't heard of these collections, so I can't or won't even try to venture as to which one is best or most complete, but I can say that this collection is 99% percent complete of the songs that the great Mr. Berry had as hit singles, with the exception of "Run, Run Rudolph," which should be included in any Berry anthology.

But "Johnny B. Goode" is here. And so is "Maybelline," "Roll Over Beethoven," "Rock and Roll Music," "No Particular Place To Go," "School Day," "Memphis, Tennessee," "Thirty Days," and yes, "My Ding-A-Ling," which should be included for completeness, even if it's far from being the favorite of most Berry fans.

This is a wonderful collection, and comparisons are fine to make, so please check out the others and make your case for which one is best. For this reviewer, this one is just fine.

Free Music Review: Fills Void Of Great Twenty Eight
Hit: 5 Stars

Since The Great Twenty-Eight went out of print, there have been several Chuck Berry compilations. For huge fans, the Chess Box Set is the one to get. For intermediate fans, Anthology or Gold (they are the same set, buy the cheaper one) will be great, both having 50 great songs. For the basic fan or casual listener, the 20th Century Masters- The Millennium Collection, an 11 song compilation, will probably do. There are also 2 supplementary sets released by Chess, which you should avoid unless for some reason you only want one half of Chuck Berry career to listen to. These two CDs have only 40 songs, so get Gold or Anthology instead. This set makes it easy for the casual or intermediate fan to get all the great Chuck Berry songs on one disc. If you want one Chuck Berry disc, get this one.

Free Music Review: Hail hail Chuch Berry!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a follower of Chuck Berry's music from my youth, I joined a band and the first song they asked me to sing was route 66, which was covered by the stones.

I then went to sing Johnnie B.Goode ,both songs became my favotrite songs that I sing in gigs still in the age of 64 now.

This DVD which was made in the 80's of which I knew of its existence then , I did not have the chance to acquire it for my own collection. Its the best so far which tells

what Chuck Berry is and has done to the world of music . He is in the 80's now, but his music will continue to influence the musicians worldwide as it did to me for the days

to come. Thank you Chuck and please live forever.

Free Music Review: a great Collection
Hit: 5 Stars

Chuck Berry is One of the Kings of Rock&Roll period. His Guitar playing, tone&Overall presentation is timeless. you hear these songs world-wide&they still sound fresh now as they did when they came out.vocally Chuck Berry had a cool vibe as well.this is a good introduction to the new Chuck Berry Fan. He was deep into the Blues, but he was able to bridge some musical styles together to create a lasting collection of work that has often been emulated, but never duplicated. His guitar playing&trademark Duck Walk are part of Pop Culture forever.
