Free Music Review: The perfect Disney memorabilia!
Hit: 5 Stars

I can't praise this album enough. It is perfect. People who grew up with Disney want all the songs and enjoy all the songs. But you always forget one or two songs. And then maybe the case is that you don't want to buy a whole Disney album just for one song. This is why this is the perfect Disney album! It has gathered up about 100 of Disney's greatest hits. I have always been a Disney fan and so I love and know every song in this album.

It has everything from the billboard #1 single "A whole new world" (Aladdin) to the greatest hits from one of the world's best-selling albums of all, US #1 "Lion King". The album producers have collected all the Oscar-winning Disney hits too! The songs from the highest grossing animated feature (Lion King) and the highest grossing animated feature of all time (Jungle Book) are timeless. Then there's beauty and the beast. A beautiful Broadway hit too, it was nominated for best picture at the Oscars because of the beautiful songs. And that year Beauty and the beast had 3-4 nominated 'best songs' at the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

Away from the beautiful love songs and Julie Andrew's beautiful songs from "Mary Poppins" are the tracks that no one will ever forget. I am talking about songs like "Hakuna Matata", "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah", and "The Bare Necessities". And then the album also has songs that are heard everywhere in the Disney theme parks like the "Electrical light parade theme" and the breath-taking music from "Fantasmic"! You can even see Disney's creativity through the ages from their original ideas for songs like the China Town-like feeling in "We are Siamese", a silly yet very catchy single. And there's also the set of songs for "The Little mermaid", the feature that was the first Disney hit in the late 80s-early 90s era which was followed by other timeless Oscar-winning musicals like (in order) "Beauty and the beast", "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "Pocahontas" etc. The only two other albums I had to buy were "Mulan" and "Hercules". The album does have one song from "Hercules" but I also love the other funny-themed songs in the feature, mainly sung by the Muses! And then I don't even have to explain why I want the Mulan soundtrack. It has beautiful songs and a marvellous score!

I highly recommend this album. I was planning on getting all the Disney hits by buying "Disney's Greatest Vol. 1" and then 2,3,4 etc. but that would cost over [money]. You get this for like [money] and you get 100 of the best songs. And so this is the perfect album!

Free Music Review: More than '60 Years of Musical Magic,' and no pseudo-versions, either!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a box set made up of all five volumes released for the 'Classic Disney' series, which started with Volume One in 1995 and concluded with Volume 5 in 1998 or thereabouts. Although the title says '60 Years of Musical Magic,' it's actually more like 68 years: according to the CD booklet for Volume One, 'Minnie's Yoo-hoo' (last track on Volume One) was recorded and published in like 1930. Meanwhile, one of the more recent tracks is 'I'll Make a Man Out of You,' from 'Mulan' in 1998. So instead of just 60 years, we get almost 70 years of music from these discs.

These CDs don't just include the 'in-movie versions' of the songs we all know and love from the movies in which they appeared, but we also get songs from TV shows like 'Davy Crockett' and 'The [OLD] Mickey Mouse Club.' Not to mention selections from theme parks or specified events, such as the 'Main Street Electrical Parade' Medley (Volume 2) made exclusively for Disneyland in 1979, and 'It's a Small World' for the 1963 New York World's Fair (the 1964 version doesn't appear on this set, but it does on 'Disney's Greatest Volume 2').

Also, as a certain customer mentioned about 'Disney's Princess Collection' (Volume 1), you won't find songs from sequels to the original Disney movies on here. And, in response to that kid who compared the in-movie version on 'Circle of Life' from 1994's 'The Lion King' to Elton John's version from the same soundtrack and judged the latter superior to the former, don't even talk to me about 'poppy' or 'meant for radio play' versions of these songs anywhere on the set: THERE AREN'T ANY!!!!

Anyway, I've said enough. If you're a die-hard Disney fan, or want something with which to entertain either yourself, your children (if you have any), or your whole family, buy this. The individual volumes are out of print, so you probably want to save up for this one if buying it. End of discussion.

Free Music Review: Absolutely what I was looking for
Hit: 5 Stars

I am obsessed with Disney music. My playlists of mp3's include almost every Disney song in the past 60 years...or so I thought. I bought this CD (and waited the horrible four weeks for it to arrive), and as soon as it showed up I put each CD in my stereo and played them on a loop for days. About a third of the songs I'd never heard of, but loved. I'm only 16, so some of the songs from the older movies I didn't know, but they are great. One reviewer mentioned she was disappointed that the CDs contained so much new music, but for people my age and younger, Beauty & the Beast, Lion King and Little Mermaid ARE Disney. In summation, these CDs are absolutely the memories I needed, and well worth the price and wait. (By the way, the price? If you buy these CDs seperately, even online, two cost more than the boxed set). Buy them. You won't regret it.

Free Music Review: Can't be any better. It's a FANTASTIC Collection!
Hit: 5 Stars

Without a doubt my favorite album(s)I've got right now!
If you love Disney and you're searching for a collection with all your favorite Disney songs, you've got to have this one!
Because there're 5 CD's, 125 songs (!), there's no song I missed on this album. I LOVE IT!
When the package arrived, I was SO happy, I just played them all immediately! They're such AMAZING CD's!
There are even Disney songs from 1930 on it! Like the oldest songs the Walt Disney Company made!
In one word: FANTASTIC! I'm so happy with this one!
If you can't choose between 'The Music of Disney: A Legacy in Song' or this one, you definitively have got to buy this one!
So: If you are looking for THE Disney Album; you've got to pick this one!

Free Music Review: Disney young and old
Hit: 5 Stars

I was looking for something different and boy did I find it!!
I can put this into the Cd player and no one complains!
Everyone has a special song they humm or sing after I have been playing these. Absolutely fantastic cd set for everyone!! The songs are great to remember new and old (classic). It is especially good for people who grew up going to Disney movies - it is like "Wow! Now I remember that song." This is well worth its price!
It is so generational - when I was a small child, when I was an adolescent, when I was an adult, now as a mother with my children older we all can listen to this.
I LOVE THIS!!!
Will there be more????
