Free Music Review: Review For Buddha Bar I: GREAT ALBUM!

Buddha Bar I by French DJ: Claude Challe, is a great compilation of mostly Asian flavored music.
I found Disc 1: Buddha's Dinner, a little more appealing in this set. The song sounded like they were ACTUALLY MEANT for dinner, with less intrusive lyrics than the other Buddha Bars. The music was smoother, with beautiful instrumentals throughout the CD. I found the tracks: Weather Storm (By Craig Armstrong), Anni Rose (By Tulku), and What Will Be? (By Zeava Ben), the best tracks on the CD.
Weather Storm opens up with a bold intro with background ambient sounds, and a harp. Then it slowly descends down to heavy bass with ambient sound, and then, the piano starts to play for the rest of the song. I liked the intricate instrumentals in this one mainly.
Anni Rose, also opens up very boldly with a soul-shaking electric guitar chord. It continues like that for the rest of the song, with brief pauses for subtle lyrics. I liked it because of those guitar chords, they were just amazing.
Zeava Ben is a very Asian flavored track with lyrics that you can fall in love with. The instrumentals in the back are great, and the lyrics add to it a ton!
I found Disc 2: Buddha's Party, a little less appealing this time round with Buddha Bars discs. This is unusual for me because I like the upbeat party beats much more in general. There was just no track that was SOOO great, that it blew me away on this one. The track: Two Wrongs Making It Right (By Kevin Yost) was probably the most OK track on the CD.
Two Wrongs Making It Right starts off with notes that were probably custom made on an electric piano, and goes through like that basically the whole track, it's nothing special, but it's a good track anyway.
Overall, I still rated this a five star album. Just because there is no absolutely AMAZING track on it, it still has enough good stuff on it to earn the 5. This Buddha Bar CD probably had the best CD in the Buddha's Dinner category, though.
It's well worth your money! Because no album is perfect! But this one is very close! (Especially with the Buddha's Dinner CD) Also, packaging is BEAUTIFUL!

Although the selections are inspired by and built upon traditional music, mostly from Asia and South America, fans of club-oriented world music are advised to check out edgier electronica by Cheb I Sabbah, TransGlobal Underground, and Aisha Kandisha.
