Free Music Review: Great Voice
Hit: 5 Stars

Clay Aiken is a truly talented vocalist and performer. One of the best songs he's ever sang is "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Though he doesn't have a high-pitched voice like the original singer, Art Garfunkle, Clay still sounds fantastic in this song, especially when he holds that long note close to the end. I personally might have preferred this song without the choir, even though they do give a cheerful feeling to the song.

"This Is The Night" is a beautiful song with romantic lyrics. Definately a good one! If I remember correctly, Clay had this song written for him to sing during American Idol.

Overall, I would say that Clay Aiken's first album, Invisible, has many more great songs to listen to then this single, but this single is pretty much the only way to hear Clay sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water". If you're a Clay fan, the single doesn't cost that much, so I'd buy it. And "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "This Is The Night" fit together perfectly. But if you want many a song by Clay, I recommend "Invisible".

P.S. Clay fans, don't forget! Clay is coming out with a Christmas album soon (Or has he already?).

Free Music Review: Clay Aiken is MAGICAL
Hit: 5 Stars

I normally don't write reviews but Clay Aiken has touched me with his voice. I NEVER WATCHED AI, funny huh? I just visited a friend last week to fix her PC and during my routine maintenance, I saw a folder named CLAY. I asked her if I can delete that and she said NO, THAT'S MY CLAY! I was surprised since my friend is not one who would follow an artist and I asked who it was and she let me listen to his song TITN. OH MY! since then I was hooked on Clay! I have downloaded as much as I can (mind you, I am a single mom that has other things to do than to surf the web for Clay Aiken) and wants more! I would normally wait for the mp3s to come circling the internet but with Clay Aiken, I just have to buy his CD! (I can't afford 7 though, sorry clay! *joke*). So, I pre-ordered his CD on amazon. I can't believe that within just a week, he moved from number 14 to 8!!! WOW! My mom is a Choir Directress at church and she was really impressed by Clay's VOICE and TALENT. TO CLAY: Lord bless you with no less than His presence. Take care of yourself and we all pray that you will never change. Your selfless attitude glorifies the Lord and ONLY HE knows whats in your heart.

Free Music Review: Spectacular
Hit: 5 Stars

I love Clay Aiken's debut CD. The choir does sorta drown out his beautiful voice on "Bridge" but it is still an extremely good arrangement and performance. His voice is so rich and, unlike some of the other American Idol contestants, he always seemed to be on key and not pitchy. He kind of grows on you. I really miss seeing and hearing him on Tuesdays. I wanted to hear more than two songs. He keeps you wanting more and that is a good thing for a singer. I can't wait until his full CD comes out. I ordered this one ahead of time and will do the same for the next one. I listened to it right away and I was not disappointed. I disagree with Simon because I really liked "This is the Night" from the first time I heard it on the show and I like it even more after hearing it again on the CD. I think he may be the lucky one NOT to have won because he will be free to choose his own path and types of songs than he might have been had he been wed to "American Idol". By, the way, I am not a teenager, I am 48 years old but I am a true fan. I just think he is extremely talented and I love his voice and I like the person he is.

Free Music Review: This is the Clay - America's new Idol
Hit: 5 Stars

Judging from just these two tracks alone, listeners will undoubtedly embark into a magical "Clayland" - a unique and commanding voice of song compared to none. His big, heavenly voice seemingly coming out of nowhere, the power and range on both tunes is simply stunning. Only criticism is the choir is way too loud for their own good on gospel-themed Bridge Over Troubled Water. Why RCA mixers slipped in bringing Clay's vital vocals more forefront/not back-burner is a mystery? Clay's voice is still present luckily and the track is saved as he beams the big ending note of "MIND" invoking similar chills and emotion of his live performances on American Idol. His rendition on cover songs tend to eclipse the original artists who made classics like Bridge famous. This Is The Night is perfection. Clay is better placed here. A difficult song to master vocally with its swirling verse and several octave spread, the Clay aces it with ease. Clay's potential is boundless, and we anxiously await his first full-length CD. Buyers will not be disappointed in this 2-track glimpse into our latest American Idol discovery. A winner in his own right.

Free Music Review: A must purchase!

I can't say I was always a Clay fan. But, the last few weeks of the AI competition definitely won me over. And, the last night certainly did the job of making me a Clay fan for life. The two songs on this CD showcase the depth & range of his great voice. And, that's what I admire the most about Clay - his great voice. I never get tired of listening to this CD.

I just don't understand, however, why "This Is The Night" never got any airplay in Chicago. I feel this CD would have sold a heck of a lot more units had more people been able to experience the song & his voice.

I saw the AI concert in July and, there's no doubt that Clay is going to be a star for a very long time. The fans couldn't get enough of him. He gave us a sneak peek at his upcoming album by singing "Invisible." If that song is any indication of what the rest of the album is going to be like, Clay most certainly has a #1 album in his future. And, the best thing is that someone has taught Clay how to dance. He commands the stage and audience - the qualities of a true star.

Go out & buy this CD...you won't be disappointed!
