Free Music Notes for Merry Christmas With LoveFree Music Review: Breathtaking Hit: 5 Stars
This album begins with a spine chilling rendition of O Holy Night which just happens to be my favorite Christmas song for years. I have heard tons of versions of this song but none so touching as this. It it not overdone, the music and choir are in the background to allow Clay's beautiful voice to be front and center. I knew from this song that the whole cd was going to be great. I like that they mix up both religious and fun Christmas songs so there is definately something for everyone. A few other favorites are Mary Did You Know which is hauntingly beautiful and Dont Save It All For Christmas Day which even after hearing about one hundred times now still gives me shivers. How he hits that high note and keeps it going with no wavering and no breathy sounds is beyond me. I also think the Hark the Herald/Oh Come All Ye Faithful medley is truly captivating. In fact, it is really hard to pick amongst these songs as each has its own special gift. One notable is What Are You Doing New Year's Eve which harks back to the day. Whenever I hear this song I picture my parents slow dancing - this is what a Christmas album should do. It should take you back to happier times. Merry Christmas With Love delivers and all I can say is thank you, Clay, you just made my Christmas season brighter.
Free Music Review: The best of the BEST! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the best CD I have ever heard! Just listen and judge for yourself! To the losers who gave it 1 star-- what, jealous are you? I noticed that Greenberg dissed all of Clay's work. I bet he didn't even listen to any of it! Stick with Bart Simpson. And someone named Blue, I bet they are blue! Fantasia is NOT selling and that's why Blue is blue. Because Clay Aiken can SING like no other! He is not like the losers on the trashy radio-- they need studio help and they lip-synch! I have heard Clay in concert 4 times and he doesn't need any vocal enhancement whatsoever and he sure does have lung power! Clay gains new fans every day because his voice is beautiful! People who dismissed him because he came from a TV show are changing their mind, that is why Clay's Merry Christmas With Love is selling and shattering sales records. All the tracks are awesome, especially Mary Did You Know, Don't Save It All For Christmas Day, O Holy Night, and What Are You Doing New Year's Eve. Amazon should really only allow people who have bought product from them review it, like I did, to avoid people who just want to put down others. It would be more fair and true because I don't believe the aforementioned listened to this CD.
I urge you to listen and judge for yourself, you will be glad you did!
Free Music Review: Merry Christmas With Love Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, there is not a bad song in the whole bunch, but some do grab you right away. For me, these were: Mary Did You Know, Don't Save It All For Christmas Day, and Merry Christmas With Love. These songs stay with you long after you've stop listening to them. This could be why I've listened to this cd repeatedly since I got it. You just don't want to put it down.
The other songs on this cd that grabbed me, and wouldn't let me go were: O, Holy Night, Sleigh Ride, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Joy To The World, Winter Wonderland, The Christmas Song, and What Are You Doing New Year's Eve. It's the way he sings them with that beautiful voice of his. He sings them in that good old fashioned way that makes Santa and Christmas seem just around the corner.
Think of the best and happiest Christmas you've ever had, and I guarantee that just listening to this cd will take you there again. Clay has a voice like no other, and when the song is right, and the production and arrangements of the songs are professional, you can't beat him. You will love ALL of the songs on it, though some you may love better than others.
This is the best Christmas album to come along in the long time. It will stand the test of time.
Free Music Review: Simply wonderful!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I just got this cd yesterday evening, and I've listened to it 5 times already! I have to admit I was skeptical at first because I didn't care much for Measure of a Man. I've been a huge fan of Clay's since his American Idol days but his first cd was a big disappointment for me, and I've since lost a lot of my original interest (or fanaticism, as my sister calls it). This one definitely isn't! The moment I heard his voice, I started smiling and I was reminded why I love Clay so much.
The first track, O Holy Night, just sent shivers up my spine, Clay sang it beautifully! This set the tone for the rest of the CD, and I loved every song (except maybe Joy to the World, which I find slightly grating). His version of Mary Did You Know is very heartfelt and beautiful. Listening to it gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. Merry Christmas With Love, and Don't Save it All for Christmas Day are two other songs that touched me. These are the kinds of songs that truly bring to mind and heart what the true meaning of Christmas really is.
This CD has quickly become my favorite, and will definitely be the one most often played in my house this season. Thanks Clay for helping make this season even more wonderful!
Free Music Review: a great holiday cd for everyone Hit: 5 Stars
So Clay Aiken is back. This time with a Christmas CD. Although a brand new fresh album might have been a better decision to make, folks got a Christmas album. Not that there's anything wrong with that. "Merry Christmas with Love" is a classy, very traditional Christmas album. I can imagine sitting around the tree this season listening to this very cd. There's so much improvement with Clay's voice on this CD i don't even know where to begin. First of all, the vocal quality is outstanding. We all know the man's got a great set of pipes, but "Merry Christmas with Love" really showcases it. His voice is so flawless and pure, it leaves you begging for more. Another great improvement on this CD is that it's lost the cheesy theme that his debut CD, "Measure of a Man" had. Of course that could be because it is a Christmas album after all, but it is nice to see that he didn't cover any more "pop"-ish songs that other artists like to do. Keeping the traditional sound to this cd was an excellent idea.
I rated this CD 5 out of 5 stars, although it really deserves the 5 stars times 100. Clay Aiken is refreshing. The CD is an overall great album that shows off this man's amazing voice. Run, don't walk to the nearest music store to buy this cd.
