Free Music Notes for Merry Christmas With LoveFree Music Review: Merry Christmas With Love - A Timeless Piece Hit: 5 Stars
The producers, Phil Ramone and Walter Afanaseiff together with Clay Aiken have certainly put out one of the best Christmas CD, I have heard.
The orchestrated arrangement of the 12 tracks in MCWL creates a new refreshing Christmas feeling and yet manage to retain it as a classic masterpiece.
Clay Aiken's incredible vocal range and his ability to fuel each song with his unique style and emotion stir the mind & soul, particularly in traditional tracks like O Holy Night, Silent Night, Hark The Herald Angels Sing/O Come All Ye Faithful and Mary Did You Know. The title track, Merry Christmas With Love, is simply beautiful and I am so thankful that Clay has revived this almost lost song which was sung by Sandi Patti 25 years ago.
Sleigh Ride has never been my favourite but Clay adds such a joyous flair and style to the song that I can't stop myself from hitting the repeat button.
The highlight of this cd, I must say is Don't Save It All For Christmas Day. Clay gives a stellar performance with a "killer" glory note which seems to last forever.
Oh and 'romance fills the air' everytime What Are You Doin New Year's Eve comes on. Clay's voice just melts one's heart.
Free Music Review: A classic and a keeper! Hit: 5 Stars
'Merry Christmas With Love' is one of the most sensational Christmas albums out these days. Clay Aiken's voice just soars, full of emotion, through classics such as 'O Holy Night" and 'Silent Night."
While there are several traditional Christmas tunes on this CD, there are also a few new ones. On 'Don't Save It All For Christmas Day" Clay's voice soars and has this special ability to communicate to listeners the importance of not saving love, hugs and kisses for the holiday season only. He makes you feel the magnitude of spreading love throughout the year. His vocal ability really shines through during this song and he offers one of the longest glory notes I have ever heard!
With the song 'Mary Do You Know' Clay sounds as if he is speaking face to face with the Virgin Mary herself and anyone who hears this will feel as if they are right there watching him sing to her. The beauty of this song is powerful. The message is haunting, yet poignant.
The whole CD is extraordinary. The voice, the production, the music...backed by an orchestra! This CD is a must for every Holiday season! It would make a wonderful gift for those you love and for yourself. This is a classic and a keeper!
Free Music Review: A piece of advice........ Hit: 5 Stars
Clay Aiken's "Merry Christmas With Love" is an absolutely amazing cd, and you will NOT be disappointed. If you love traditional Christmas songs, with a couple of beautiful modern songs mixed in, you simply can't go wrong.
A piece of advice.....if you see people giving bad reviews of this cd, do a little research. Click on "See my other reviews" and it really tells you a lot about how credible their review is. For instance, I click on Michelle Williams, who gives this cd 1 star, and I find that her only other review is a 5-star review for Ruben Studdard. And I click on Bonnie Wohlgemuth, who also gives Clay's cd 1 star, and I find she has given a 5-star review of Fantasia's cd.
Hmmmm.......doesn't that make it quite obvious that these people are just jealous of the success Clay has had compared to their favorite idols????? Perhaps you should try supporting your own favorite instead of coming here to bash ours. Clay's Christmas cd is a masterpiece, and you don't have to degrade it just to make your "idols" look better. I am not a fan of Ruben's or Fantasia's music, but you won't see me going over and giving their cd's 1 star just because I am a Clay fan. Grow up people!
Free Music Review: Fantastic......Magical......Perfection!!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Clay and his producers have out done themselves.
Clay's voice is intoxicating. I can't get enough.
Every song is a treasure.
Highlights:
Oh Holy Night: Clay doesn't sing it like anyone else,
he's about the reverence of the words and it shows.
Silent Night: Clay could have belted that song
but he chose to sing it with sheer beauty and love of Our Lord.
Melody/Hark the Herald Angel/O come all Ye Faithful:
Now he lets loose on this one. His voice soars to heights unknown.
Mary , Did You Know: No words can discribe the haunting
beauty of this song.
Merry Christmas with Love: A song he sang
in high school and possible only one other person
has recorded, Sandi Patti.
Well clay wanted to reintroduce us to it and boy has he.
Clay lets you feel this womens pain and then her joy of
finding the Christmas spirit thru song.
Clay's you have given us an amazing Christmas Gift
in this production.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Don't walk run to buy this CD.
You will treasure it year after year.
Free Music Review: A golden nugget album shining brightly for the season! Hit: 5 Stars
Clay Aiken, of American Idol fame, delivers a fantastic CD to us for this holiday season! Indeed, as one reviewer notes, this CD can be enjoyed practically at any time of the year: Clay's singing is awesome. His voice is both powerful yet somehow soft enough to be inviting and memorable. When you consider how he came out of practically nowhere on American Idol to get to the point where he is today this album is especially sweet for Clay and his fans.
The album includes many standards such as the beautiful medley of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing/O Come All Ye Faithful" and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve." There are also several stupendous songs including "Mary Did You Know." Throughout the entire CD Clay invokes the meaning of Christmas with his passionate singing and sincerity. A very warm fuzzy effect indeed!
The quality of the sound is excellent; I'd swear he was right next to me as I listened throughout!
Hopefully Clay will produce another Christmas CD next year! This one is a delight to listen to and enjoy many times over! Please get this CD and give yourself and others a much deserved treat! GRIN
