Free Music Notes for On My Way HereFree Music Review: Clay's best ever Hit: 5 Stars
I WAS GIVEN THIS CD BY A FRIEND WHO KNEW I LIKED CLAY'S VOICE....WHICH I FIND AMAZING.ALL I CAN SAY IS "WOW".I LOVE EVERY SONG ON THSI CD ESPESPECIALLY ASHES,WHERE I DRAW THE LINE,GRACE OF GOD(CLAY PUTS SUCH EMOTION INTO THIS SONG..THIS SONG IN ITSELF IS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE CD.YOU CAN TELL BY LISTENING TO THIS SONG, THAT CLAY IS DEEPLY SADDENED BY THE INJUSTICE OF POVERTY IN THE WORLD.FOR SUCH A YOUNG MAN,HE FEELS THINGS THAT MANY PEOPLE MUCH OLDER DO NOT THINK ABOUT. ANOTHER SONG I LIKE IS "THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD". CLAY HAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE...PURE VOCALIST. SOME OF THESE SONGS SHOULD BE USED ON COMMERCIALS OR WHERE EVER JUST TO GET THE FACTS ACROSS HOW BLESSED SOME OF US ARE AND JUST TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. FOR SOMEONE RAISED IN THE "ME GENERATION" CLAY SEEMS TO PUT OTHERS BEFORE HIMSELF. I'VE READ IN SOME REVIEWS THAT THE SONGS ARE DEPRESSING...TO ME THE SONGS ARE FULL OF HOPE AND YEARNING. I WOULD AND HOPE TO BE MORE OF A CARING PERSON, MORE OF A GIVING PERSON THANKS TO THIS CD. THANKS CLAY FOR TRYING TO GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS.
Free Music Review: This is a good album from Clay Aiken Hit: 5 Stars
I love this new disc from Clay Aiken. My favorite track is "Ashes". This is an upbeat hopeful song about overcoming adversity. "On My Way Here" is a very personal song about the highlights and low points of Clay's life. His vocals are so heartfelt here. I also like the song "Love All Alone". The violin playing is so pretty on this romantic track. I am not a religious person, but I think the track "Grace Of God" is lovely. This song is about having faith and hope even though bad things happen in the world. "Weight Of The World" is a song about dealing with the pressures of life. I like the musical arrangements of this track a lot. The piano playing and electric guitar playing are very good here. "Where I Draw The Line" is a track about feeling scared about getting hurt in a romantic relationship again. "The Real Me" is a touching song. Clay's vocals are accompanied well by goregous piano playing here. I really like the lyrics of these two tracks. This is a very enjoyable album from this talented singer from North Carolina.
Free Music Review: Objective Fan Hit: 5 Stars
Finally...a CD that screams Clay Aiken.
To start off I am definetly a fan of Clay's but that doesn't mean I can't be unbiased. While there were some songs I liked on MOAM the majority were RCA's version of Clay. Then came the mandated mostly covers CD which was updated and remastered but you don't demand covers for a new artists sophmore CD.
With the new release of On My Way Here Clay has a CD he can call his own and he has done a masterful job with it. It has something for everyone... from Pop to Rock...from Adult Contemporary to Christian Contemporary and even Country and Jazz.
For those who like a CD with an eclectic mix sung by one of the most talented artists of today than On My Way Here is definitely a Must Buy.It is worth the price just to hear Lover All Alone...a heartwrenching, haunting song written by Clay and arranged by David Foster.
If you have an IQ greater than a pencil ignore the music critics with the 'agendas' and judge for yourself...you won't be disappointed.
Free Music Review: His Best Work So Far Hit: 5 Stars
So many opinions. Where to start. I have been a fan of Clay's since I heard "Always and Forever". I loved "Measure of A Man", I think the AI producers did a great job with those songs and they fit him perfectly. I loved his Christmas Album, no one sings Christmas like Clay. A Thousand Different Ways, was not his choice but he did give his heart and soul in it and even if you didn't want to hear the songs again, he did sing them beautifully.
Now we are here to "On My Way Here", a project he has personally taken pride in. I have listened to it several times. I find this cd a wonderful mix of eclectic songs, something for everyone. Pop, country, soulful, romantic, a little religious, it has it all! And with a voice like his, what is there not to like. There simply has to be at least one song for everyone on this album. And I have in the past bought a cd just for one song.
So Bravo Clay..an album of love and a song for everyone. 5 stars to a man of vision, heart and talent! Much success to you!
Free Music Review: FINALLY - a REAL Clay Aiken CD!!! Hit: 5 Stars
THIS is the CD that I have been waiting for for 5 years! Although I am a fan of Clay's, I will admit that, as a rock music fan, apart from the spectacular "Broken Wings", I was disappointed with the song choices and production on his last CD.
Thank goodness he and his producer were given free rein this time! 'On My Way Here' is by FAR his best work yet. It is truly eclectic, encompassing pop, rock, classic ballads, jazz and even a bit of funky r'n'b. I am very impressed with the overall production (kudos to the Grammy award winning 'Kipper'), and Clay performs all the songs beautifully - his style has really matured.
The highest compliment I can give this CD is to say that there is not one song on it that I skip. I have been buying CDs for about 25 years, and there are only two other CDs that I can say that about (Graceland & Simon & Garfunkel's Concert in Central Park).
Thank you Clay! This CD was well worth the wait, and I will enjoy listening to it for years to come.
