Free Music Review: Some of the best of Clay!!!!

This collection is Clay at his very best. Some old, some new. This collection brings back many wonderful memories of the first time I saw him perform "Invisible" on the "American Idol Tour". It also brings me back to the first time I ever heard him perform just a small portion of "Measure of a Man" on the "Independant Tour". The "Solo Tour" brought us for the first time "This is the Night" as well as a full version of "Measure of a Man", woohoo. We were then blessed with "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" on the "Jukebox Tour", there are no words,and that night on "American Idol" was a jaw dropper for sure. "Solitaire" is a masterpiece, which he shared with us on the "Solo Tour". The glory note is nothing short of spectacular. Simply put, the man CAN sing. And to think he was born with a collasped lung. He sure can belt it out.
The sound quality is AMAZING. Clay IS heard, which I love.
Clay, thank you for letting me relive some wonderful memories of the first time hearing you sing these songs. I hope to hear your newer songs on your next tour.
Free Music Review: So great I am getting another!

I have this CD in my computer so I can hear when I am on the Internet. I am buying another one so I can hear it in the car, etc. Although I am a big fan of Clay's, I was surprised by how much I like this particular CD. It made me appreciate some of his songs more than I did before, probably because of the remastering so one can really hear his voice and the emotion he brings to his songs. It makes me happy that this CD is in a cardboard container, not using a lot of plastic. It is green as well as great. This makes a very good gift so others can enjoy Clay's beautiful voice. It was good to have one of his songs from when he was on AMERICAN IDOL. I would like for him to record all of the songs he sang while learning how to be an Idol to many of his fans on the TV program. Wouldn't it be great to have STARRY NIGHT and UNCHAINED MELODY on one of his CDs? Maybe he will include them on his next CD.
If you like good singing, buy this CD and you will be happy.
Free Music Review: Wonderful Collection

I was excited to receive the new Best of Clay Aiken CD. Even though I have all the songs, with the exception of On The Wings of Love on previous CD's, it's convenient to have many favorites together on one. Solitaire, probably my favorite Clay Aiken song, still gives me goosebumps when he hits and hold that glory note. I love Ashes, and think it would have been popular as a single released to radio. Since I had never purchased the American Idol group CD from year two, I didn't have Clay singing On The Wings of Love, so I was thrilled to get that.
The remastered songs definitely sound better than the originals; Clay's beautiful voice is not drowned out by too loud background music, especially on Bridge Over Troubled Water.
I love this collection, it's bound to be a collector's item.

To be honest, I was dubious about this CD when it showed up here on Amazon as a "new release".
I have received the CD and all doubts are now gone. The flow of the songs is wonderful and I can hear a definite difference in the quality. While the background vocals on Bridge Over Troubled Waters are still too loud, you can now hear Clay's voice clearly throughout the entire song.
Here You Come Again (one of my favorites on A Thousand Different Ways) is even better and showcases Clay's amazing vocal range. The Real Me from On My Way Here is so clean and pure (and it makes me cry every single time).
This CD chronicles Clay's growth as a vocalist and I would recommend it to the mega fan, casual fan or anyone who just wants to hear vocals at their finest.

I have all of Clay's CD's including those prior to Idol and this one really stands out. I have all the mp3's downloaded from iTunes and they just don't sound the same as the CD does.
I really enjoy the fact that some of the best songs are all on one CD and of such great quality. A lot of the songs sound the same as the originals but there are a few subtle differences with some of them. Put on the headphones and crank up the CD Player and listen to Bridge Over Troubled Water, Solitaire and The Real Me. And we can't forget about On The Wings Of Love that never made it to an album.
I highly recommend this album. It's another must have for all Clay fans and for those who just love good music.
