Free Music Notes for Playlist: The Very Best of Clay AikenFree Music Review: Beautiful sound Hit: 5 Stars
I played each song off of the original, then off the remastered CD. The remastered CD has a deeper, richer tone than the original, with different portions of the tracks getting a bit more or less sound than the originals. I loved Bridge Over Troubled Water when he performed it on American Idol, but on the original CD, who ever produced it, had the choir totally drowning out his voice in parts. Not so in the remastered version. "Mary Did You Know" and "Something About Us" are stunning and two of my favorites. The quality of sound on this CD is fantastic. I'm tipping my hat to those at Legacy for a CD with breathtaking vocals and sound.
Free Music Review: Love it!! Hit: 5 Stars
I was pretty sure I was going to love this CD and I was not disappointed. Clay Aiken has such a beautiful voice and the selection of songs on this CD really does showcase that voice and his range. The song selection is great right from the first uptempo song, "Ashes" to the last song (which is a Christmas favorite) "Mary Did You Know."
The remastered sound is excellent and the pictures and liner notes that are available as a PDF file are a feature that fans will enjoy.
This is a "must have" for any Clay Aiken fan or for anyone who wants to become acquainted with his glorious voice.
Free Music Review: It was a pleasure Hit: 5 Stars
I could not believe how fast this order came. Great turn-around time. I ordered this CD for Christmas and have not stopped listening yet!I had already worn out 2 other home-made CD's of his music from American Idol and was looking to refresh/renew my collection. I haven't really been following his career since his Idol days. I usually only listen to the oldies, but this CD was surprisingly easy on the ears. I will definitely be ordering more of his music. Hard to believe he was only a runner-up on Idol. I forget again, who was the winner that year? (ha-ha)
Free Music Review: Absolute Perfection! Hit: 5 Stars
This is sensational - the sound of the remastering purifies and refines Clay's unique voice so much more than the original recordings.
Clay did an outstanding job with his first production of a CD - hopefully this is sign of things to come. He surely has the skills to run an independent label.
For those looking for enjoyable music (lyrics with meaning & words you can actually understand) by in outstanding performer, this is a must have! Great showcasing of a great talent.
Free Music Review: Terrific compilation Hit: 5 Stars
I have this Playlist and it is a terrific compilation of some of Clay Aiken's best recorded songs. I've especially enjoyed "On The Wings of Love" because it's not included on his other CDs so, for me, it was like an undiscovered gem. Including "Ashes" from his new CD, "On My Way Here" is a treat and then he blows you away with "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Solitaire". Awesome, soaring vocals. Finishing up with "Mary, Did You Know" is like a luscious, melt in your mouth, dessert.
