Free Music Review: Unbelievable!
Hit: 5 Stars

This band is so absolutely freaking amazing. This CD cranks the "rock opera" up a notch and kicks The Who and Green Day right on their backs! Not that I don't love Green Day (I saw them last night and they were amazing as always) but it's bands like Coheed and Cambria that keep my faith in music. This CD tells the coolest story from the beginning to the end, that I have ever heard on an album. There is so much raw energy and feeling to this music it literally bleeds out of your speakers it's so alive. The single is a catchy fun and unforgettable song for sure, but to capture the true essence and brilliance of this CD, you need to listen to the entire album from beginning to end as it will break your heart and make you seriously think about rocking and the current state of everything around you.

I can't say enough great stuff about this band. In my opinion, the best two bands of recent history are Jimmy Eat World and Coheed and Cambria. Without these two bands new music would be fallling off the face of existence as we're forcefed the latest trash by Nelly or the latest Korn wannabe (Korn still dominates hard rocking).

Buy this CD if you truly respect the future of rock, and if you want to listen to something that is going to make you appreciate fine artistically and musically talented musical brilliance. This album is great and should be appreciated by all. And if you do like, listen to their first major label CD as it'll rock your world even harder baby!!

Free Music Review: And i woke the sounds of them crying
Hit: 5 Stars

Okay... I have owned this cd for a minute sense the year it was released... but anyway i purchased this cd only knowing a little about co & ca hearing one song off their first cd called "time consumer" and i liked that and also hearing about a show they played localy and that they were good. But i had no idea what i was in for when i bought this cd on a whim after reading an interview with their bassist in one of my bass player mag's. And let me tell ya your not the same after coheed they pull you in and take you over. But at first listen you are not sure sounds pretty good... got a nice epic vibe. By the time you are at the end of what you think is the last track the weird outro thing here they come with what would become to me atleast the very imfomus 2113. and if you know that one song time consumer from second stage and you are familiar with the story you are stunned you dont know what just happend the last 45 mins or hour were a blur and then you feel compelled to put it back in. ITs all over after that my friends. Coheed is a band you cant put in a genre or even try to explain to anyone it inspires you drags you in and you feel awesome. Simply must give it a chance forget about what they say about the vocals or if there emo which they are a farcry from that, you will end up loving the vocals and the amazing beautiful music Coheed and cambria create. The most intreaging music i have ever listened to simply captivating. this album must be purchased

Free Music Review: CO&CA's 2nd best album
Hit: 5 Stars

Having all CO&CA albums, I have always loved them since I was 10, plus, I have seen a couple live performances. CO&CA is one of the best Punk-emo bands.

1. The Ring In Return: N/A: Just an Intro. Kinda sounds like of something in THE RING.

2. (album title): 9/10: A great Punk-ish song.

3. Cuts Marked In March Of Men: 10/10: I love this song. I listen to it obsessively on my MP3.

4. 3 Evils: 10/10: Very great song. Very punk-ish.Another song I listen to obsessively. I kind of laugh when I read the part in the booklet that says "These lyrics are part of a story and are not to be taken literally."

5. The Crowing: 7/10: Not great, but still very good.

6. Blood Red Summer: 9/10: One of the best songs of the album.

7. TCV: 10/10: Love this song, kinda 70's style, If you ask me.

8: TCV2: 1010: Best song on the album. One thing- What's with that creepy piano at the end? BTW, I made an FF7 video for this song. The credits roll at the creepy piano part at the end.

9. TCV3: 10/10: Creepy Song, great lyrics.

10. The Favour House Atlantic: 9/10: Another great song with a creepy ending.

11: Light And The Glass: 6/10: Not really great, but I still like it.

12-22: N/A: just silence.

23: Hidden Track: 10/10: Awesome ending that left me wanting more.

So go buy this if you like punk!

Free Music Review: Spectacular...
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been listening to Coheed for well over a year now and I haven't been sick of them once. After falling in love with their first album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, I made a rush to the store to by this one. I must say that it blew me away as well. Don't expect the same sound as the first album, you'll notice the feel is different.

The thing about Coheed and Cambria is that they are talented musicians, some a lot (though not all) of MODERN rock is lacking. You'll be swept away. It's difficult to classify Coheed. They are rock for sure, but sometimes you'll think to call them emo, or sometimes progressive, sometimes pop punk, you may never be able to place your finger on it.

Now a warning for some of you. Claudio Sanchez's voice has a range that rivals Geddy Lee's, and if for some reason the high range makes you feel insecure about yourself and you feel the need to resort to calling Claudio a girl to make up for it, this album is not for you. In addition to that, the other thing you need to know is that Claudio is creating a massive concept that spans across five albums, this of which is the second installment, and the third piece chronologically. So if you're wondering about the lyrics, that is their basis, though Sanchez has tried to be vague enough that those not interested in the concept can just rock out all they want.

Go buy this album immediately. You won't regret it.

Free Music Review: This is probably the very best CD I've heard in the past 10 years
Hit: 5 Stars

I discovered Coheed and Cambria mostly by accident last spring. The first Coheed song I heard was "Three Evils", then "The Crowing" a few weeks later. Then I bought both this CD and "Second Stage Turbine Blade" (which I also love). I almost instantly became obsessed with it and just wanted to listen to it constantly. I saw them in concert twice last year and met the band both times, and they're all great guys. I haven't loved a band this much since The Cure in the late 80s and early 90s. Happy, sad, contemplative or angry, this music always fits my mood.

In short, this CD brought back the love of "alternative" music I had back in high school, and encouraged me to check out other new bands as well. Coheed & Cambria may have mostly teenaged fans, but I think a lot of us over 30 could get into them as well. Their lyrics are well-written and intelligent, the music is complex and displays a great deal of talent. They're one of the most unique bands I've ever heard. Yes, Claudio's voice is kind of high, and for some people that's a bad thing. At first I wasn't sure what I thought of it, but after only a few listens I really loved it. If you're one of those people, like I was, who didn't think much good music had been made since the mid-90s, this CD will change your mind. And even if you're not that picky, this is still a great CD to check out. The lyrics and music are absolutely amazing and original.
