Free Music Review: A Beautiful Masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

I first heard about Coheed and Cambria shortly after the release of In Keeping Secrets. I was first turned on to them after hearing "A Favor House Atlantic." I went to pick up the CD, thinking it might have a few good tracks. I found that it was much more than that. I decided to explore deeper and pick up this CD, C&C's first studio release, and it was incredible. The first track blew me away, right from the synchronized guitars in the intro, and all the way through the song.
There is not a bad track on this CD, and it is a pleasant escape from mainstream alt. rock that you hear on the radio. After listening to the entire record, however, "Everything Evil" emerged as my favorite track. As I became more involved in the bands music, I discovered the sci-fi story that the songs are written after. The story of a man forced to kill his children to save the keywork is heart-wrenching and beautiful. If you want to "feel" the music that you listen to, check out this CD. You'll make it if you believe.

Free Music Review: A masterpiece of an album, a phenomenom of a band
Hit: 5 Stars

First and foremost, just buy this CD. You will not regret it,...and if you do, then you can't be my friend.^^ Seriously though, Coheed is just such a smart band. The lyrics, which just so happen to go along with their 2nd album, as well as their comic book series (busy, busy, busy)are very strong and really quite different than anything else you might hear. Although they are classified as emo, they actually have a strong rock feel to them, listen to "Delirium Trigger" and you'll understand. The singer, Claudio, has an outstanding vocal range...I swear the first time I heard him I was wondering if it was a boy or girl singing, but nonetheless, his vocals are enough to make you purchase this album, but it won't stop there. The band is just as terrific and they match him musically. Enough reading, just buy it, and while you're at it, but their sophomore album, In Keeping Secrets Silent Earth: 3. Hhmmm...even their album titles are a bit odd, no? Well, whatever they do, it works. Gotta give them lots of love.

Free Music Review: a solid debut from coheed
Hit: 5 Stars

First off, let me say that Coheed and Cambria are one of the most innovative bands out there, and they create truly great music. This album is no exception. I have to admit, when I first bought this CD, I wasn't thrilled with it. This was because I had bought "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" prior to this album, and it had a different sound to it. But after a while it started to grow on me. I listened to each song and began to realize the layer upon layer of fine musicianship poured into each and every one of them. Standouts among the tracks are "Delirium Trigger" (great harmonies at the end), "Devil in Jersey City", "Time Consumer" (amazing intro), "Everything Evil", and "God Send Conspirator". I also have come to like "I, Robot", the bonus track at the end of the CD. As I said, this CD has a different feel than "In Keeping Secrets..." but that is no reason to ignore it. It honestly is a work of art and a solid debut from a great band. It deserves your immediate attention.

Free Music Review: Second CD of the Bag Online Adventures
Hit: 5 Stars

Coheed & Cambria is not like every other pop, punk, emo, or alternative band -- whatever genre you might file them under. Second Stage Turbine Blade is the first CD released by the band under the name of Coheed & Cambria, and it tells the story of Coheed, Cambria, their children, and the universe in which they live. While it is the first CD released, it is the second chapter of the story; the CD that tells the first chapter will be released after chapter four. Claudio Sanchez's vocals are amazing and like no other's. His lyrics are creative and somewhat abstract, leaving plenty of room for fans to wonder what exactly is going on in the story.

My personal favorites off of this CD are "Time Consumer", "33", and "God Send Conspirator".

Also recommended is Equal Vision Records Presents: Inventing The Scene in which Coheed & Cambria's previously unreleased "Elf Tower New Mexico" song appears.

Free Music Review: they rule
Hit: 5 Stars

to whoever said coheed sometimes has a little too long of songs, YOU FOOL. when i first started listening to them, i thought most of their songs were quite short, and their is NEVER a dull moment in any coheed song. anyways, i first heard of coheed from the warped tour comps, with delirium trigger and three evils. these are very excellent songs which prompted me to go out and buy all 3 of their albums on the same day. while the songwriting, musicianship and singing is amazing in every song on every album, im going to have to lean to iksose3 and good apollo just because they are more complex and better written. first off, my favorite songs are time consumer and the demo version of everything evil. on their second album, about 5 minutes into 2113, their is an awesome section which concludes with a version of everything evil, i definately recommend that album too. but overall everything is very excellent. im a fan for life!
