Free Music Review: Absolutely bloody stunning!
Hit: 5 Stars

This album will be the best of the year 2002, hands down. When will people realize that this is what true music is all about. Very inventive and rarely heard meld of what people nowadays call "emo" but should be called melodic post-hardcore, with prog-rock and even Tool-like metal. Not only that, but the lyrical themes, although occasionally abstract and hard to decipher, are brilliantly poetic and emotionally powerful. Also, Claudio Sanchez is one of the 3 best male singer's on the planet (along with Red House Painters' Mark Kozelek and Camden's William Seidel). I suggest buying this immediately and skipping over overhyped rubbish like the Strokes and the White Stripes. Just because the media hasn't jumped on Coheed & Cambria's bandwagon (yet?) doesn't mean that they shouldn't be heard.

Free Music Review: My favorite Coheed album
Hit: 5 Stars

This is probably my favorite album. After hearing Time Consumer for the first time back in '02, and Coheed has been my favorite band since then. Compared to their latter work, SecondStage... is much more of a prog/punk album (opposed to just straight prog-rock like Good Apollo). Not saying that I don't love everything they've done, Second Stage just different which is what I love so much about this band; progress. To me this is a classic, and every song should be revered. Great melody, Claudio's vocals (yes I thought he was a she at first, but I loved the ambiguity), great guitar work, and lyrics (which are a lot more obscure than the newer songs) make this album that good. Spare the forty some odd minutes, and listen from beginning to end.

Free Music Review: This album rocks my face
Hit: 5 Stars

These guys take the modern pop-punk emo sound and turn it on its head. They have plenty of moments that verge on lead guitar cheese, but it's always creative and always compliments the songs. Most similar bands are content to just plod along on the same simple riff for the whole verse part of every song, but Coheed And Cambria really keep their musical progressions interesting at every turn. Rarely will a chord progression repeat itself without some new melody coming in to add something to it. The vocals seem to be a focal point for a lot of people but they never really phased me much at all. I don't have any strong opinion on that part of the music either positively or negatively. It's all about the rock, and this album is the most consistently interesting and engaging rock record of 2002.

Free Music Review: one of them best albums ever
Hit: 5 Stars

This cd is absolutely amazing to say the least. The lyrics mean so much, and with the greatest vocals I've ever heard, it's great. With only having 10 songs on the cd, it's quite long. With about 55 mins. of play time, it sets them off from most "punk" bands with their 2 1/2 min, songs. I really like how pretty much all their songs are about 5 mins. long. I got to see them open for The Get Up Kids, and seeing them live is SO much better than the cd, his voice is great on the cd, but when you see them live, there is no doubt about it that you will like them more live. I would highly recommend seeing them live if you can. Like me, most of the people at the concert were more excited to see Coheed and Cambria than The Get Up Kids. Buy this cd, and try to check them out live.

Free Music Review: The Second Stage Turbine Blade
Hit: 5 Stars

Coheed and Cambria is greatest band of all time. They pour out endless emotions and bizarre lyrics. The guitar breakdowns are amazing and the vocals are beautiful. To add icing to the cake they even based the band on a story written by the singer, Claudio Sanchez. It's a dark sci-fi story starting with the two lead characters, Coheed and Cambria. Each song tells a part of this epic story. The Second Stage Turbine Blade encompasses the beginning of this tale, but interpreting the story is extremely hard. Thats why Claudio is releasing graphic novels/comics to easier explain the story. Well anyways, Coheed and Cambria is an amazing band, The Second Stage Turbine Blade is a must buy. I recomend you buy it before In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3.
