Free Music Review: An absolute black diamond gem in the dark....simply genius!

Having been a electronic composer of 5 albums myself and a lover and educated listener of the electronic realm for 20 years, I can say this....a buddy of mine tried to get me into coil when I was 20 and I spouted something at him about the greatness of motorhead, and ignored them completely. Then over the years I became an electronic artist, first ambient then techno in the later. So for 20 years I glossed over coil simply because of ignorance and prejudice against"dance music"..quote unquote.
I then remembered one day as I was searching for new influences to inspire my own work..this album that my friend bounced off me years ago.
First off. I was waaayyyy off! Not only is the sound design on this record extraordinary, but then encompassing it beat driven tribal rhythms was ingenious. Of course now, most of coils stuff is out of print and very expensive. I have purchased two more of their records since and will keep biting the dollar on the rest because I was to stupid, immature, and unlearned to pick their stuff up along the way. A brilliant record from a brilliant band I intend to get to know well. Whatever the cost.
