I will admit, I have yet to be at a concert for over a decade. Coldplay is one of my favorite bands and when I saw this DVD come out, I was thrilled. From the beginning, I was on my feet in front of my television for a good two hours experiencing the phenemonal energy flow through my blood while watching Coldplay Live and browsing its features. This concert was energetic and lucid. Though it was basically the band playing their music within a huge light show, the atmosphere just seemed so much alive. I was impressed more so when they got deeper into their show as it seemed the band itself became more alive and the energy reflected off of them onto the fans. This is truly a remarkable collection to own, especially if you are a Coldplay fan. It also includes 2 new songs, which are not too bad, but I'll leave that for you to judge. I would strongly recommend purchasing this DVD/CD. The energy produced will flow into your stream of blood quickly and will add vivid colors into your imagination! If money is an issue, try getting this burned. If you are not a huge fan of Coldplay, but still enjoy their music from time to time, try borrowing this DVD and check it out. This is the the greatest band in the world. The DVD and CD combo does the band justice. I think they should have put Spies on the DVD because they played it at NextStage and it was amazing. I bought the DVD not knowing the CD was include but was pleased to know I could carry the live tunes with me in my truck. I love the visuals done for the DVD. I love the lighting effects that seem to match whatever the song is about. Rush Of Blood To The Head was beautifully done live along with Don't Panic. I was lucky in seeing them play live at NextStage and as I was walking out I kept wishing I could somehow carry the experience with me and show it to everyone who missed the concert. Jonny Buckland is perhaps one of the greatest guitar players I have ever heard. The music is simple and yet powerful. I would highly recommend this DVD/CD to everyone. Pop it in and just blast out the guitars wailing in the background and the voice of Chris tell the bands stories of hope, lost loves, and etc.Free Music Review: One of the best bands in recent years

Coldplay: Live 2003 is a premise I really like. It's a live CD that also comes with a DVD of the same set (with five extra tracks).If you haven't heard of Coldplay or just don't know too much about them, this isn't a bad album to get as it features the best stuff off their last two albums. However, you'd probably be better served getting "Parachutes" and "Rush of Blood to the Head" first.
If you are a fan of Coldplay, there isn't really much I can say. Either you feel you want to have a concert DVD or you don't. And that's really the way you should look at it. The price is worth it for the concert DVD alone. The CD is just bonus so you can listen to the concert in places where you may not have a DVD player available (in the car, CD walkman, etc..)
The fact remains that Coldplay is one of the best bands to come out in recent times, and this DVD/CD set has some of their best stuff in a well performed and nicely produced live set.

Coldplay is one of the great bands of its time. First, looking at the DVD I was amazed by the filming job, the great colours and effects. It was filmed very well and you can even get different angles on your remote control which I found to be brilliant!! Also includes a great new song called "Moses"! The DVD also includes lyrics and websites to got as well as Coldplay's tour diary which I found great as well. It was all very interesting and fascinating to watch what they did before gigs and such. Bottom line is that both the DVD and CD Have a GREAT quality of sound!! One other interesting fact is how many places and gigs they did. They only show a few bits of a couple of gigs on the DVD and then the whole show from Sydney but they show you a map or a "web" they made of the gigs they did and I ask myself how they could they find time to rest considering it looks like they did hundreds of them! You WILL be VERY Pleased with this!!!Free Music Review: Get it!

First the cd...EXCELLENT! I've been a Coldplay fan from the start but the only thing better than listening to Coldplay is listening to them live. Blasting this cd in my car makes me feel like I'm at a show again. I love it. They included many of their old favorites and added a few new tracks such as "Amsterdam" and the amazing "Moses." Before the cd was released I heard "Moses" on the radio one day and almost drove my car off the road as it was one of the most amazing things I had ever heard. Chris goes into U2's "Pride" chorus at one point and it is incredible. The guitars and everything blow me away.The dvd...AWESOME! If you haven't had the opportunity to see these guys in concert then at least see the dvd. Chris Martin has such incredible energy on stage. They are such amazing performers.
If you love Coldplay, you will love this set! Get it!
