Free Music Notes for 7even Year Itch: Collective Soul Greatest Hits 1994-2001

Free Music Review: Awesome Collection
Hit: 5 Stars

Collective Soul's "7even Year Itch" is an awesome CD. This band doesn't get enough praise for their great musical talent. Many people have heard their songs, but they don't know the band's name. "7even Year Itch" has a great collection of Collectives Soul's best songs from the past seven years. This rock group's sound isn't hard on your ears and they don't have horrible screaming voices. Collective Soul has great musical talent. Each member plays his own instument and the rock group compose their own songs. Their music is awesome because of their great abilities to actually make songs that sound good. This isn't like the typical CD where you end up skipping every other song and the only good songs are the ones they play constantly on the radio. I'm sure you will enjoy every song on this CD. Believe me, there is no skipping involved in listening to Collective Soul's "7even Year Itch". I would definitely recommend this CD to anyone who wants to own a great collection of rock music.

Free Music Review: Collective Soul does it again
Hit: 5 Stars

There is no way that I could ever rate a CS cd any less than 5 stars. However, putting unreleased tracks on a 'greatest hits' album did seem a little odd. I'm over it, because within a week the songs have already grown on me and I love them. I have been a devoted CS fan forever, and to see effort to put a greatest hits album out meant a lot to me, and I hope that it gets their name out a little bit, because they have been overlooked in many ways. I have seen them two times in concert, and they have played all of the songs off the CD, except the unreleased one. I was extremely pleased with the track selection, however I was hoping that "Where the River Flows" would have been on the CD. The "7even year itch" CD is an absolute must have for all fans of early to mid 90s rock, and this CD is excellent. I didn't go a day from it's release date without it. It is a must buy.

Free Music Review: I've got the 7even Year Itch
Hit: 5 Stars

Collective Soul's Greatest Hits CD, 7even Year Itch, is an album I recommend to everyone. It is an album full of energy. The songs are packed full of guitar solos and the lyrics fit well with the music.
The album includes classic songs such as, December, Gel, The World I Know, and Run. There are also a few songs that aren't on there other albums that I like as well. Why Pt. 2 is my favorite on the album, mostly because of how well the guitar is played throughout the song. Forgiveness is another great song on the album that isn't on any others and it shows a little softer side of Collective Soul's talent.
I believe this album has a variety of songs, from pretty heavy rock songs to mellow-sounding ones. I suggest you check this album out. It is a great album that almost everyone is bound to love.

Free Music Review: A Collection of Goods
Hit: 5 Stars

Collective Soul's release of a greatest hits collection may be a sign of the end for the band, but they certainly left behind a collection of hits behind. Any Collective Soul fan will be quick to point out the band's 8 number 1 hits: more than any other rock band in the 90's. Judging from this collection of hits, they deserved every one of them. #1 hits like "Shine", "December", "The World I Know", "Gel", "Precious Declaration", "Listen", and "Heavy" are included, although one #1 hit, "Where the River Flows", is unfortunately missing. I would have liked to see the inclusion of a few more songs: 13 songs is hardly enough. However, this is the PERFECT choice for a newcomer to the World of Collective Soul. Enjoy.

Free Music Review: Great representation of Collective Soul
Hit: 5 Stars

Collective Soul is one of the best soft rock bands in my opinion. They add a good deal of variety into their tracks while maintaining a connection back to their roots and their own particular sound. After hearing several of their songs and loving them, I recently got all of their CDs. At first, I thought I'd only like the songs I knew, but that wasn't the case. All of their CDs are excellent, and almost every song is hit material.

However, for the Casual collective soul fan, this disk is a great representation of Collective Soul's work. If you want to try out Collective Soul for the first time, or have heard a few of their songs and want a compilation of their best, this is the disk for you. It really is a fantastic representation of their work.
