Free Music Review: Another fantastic Gold collection

I am continually impressed by Universal Music's "Gold" series. I have at least 12 collections so far, my favorites being Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Olivia Newton John and Billie Holiday. Each collection has a good overview of each artist's career, complete with fine tracklistings, good sound, liner notes and photographs.
The Lionel Richie/Commodores compilation is no exception. This collection covers Richie's entire career very well, including the Commodore years ("Machine Gun", "Still", "Three Times a Lady"), the early solo years ("Truly", "Endless Love"), the peak years ("All Night Long", "Hello", "Say You, Say Me") and the radio comeback ("Angel").
I don't agree with the previous complaint about including the album length tracks -- I am glad to have the original songs in remastered form. I don't like songs being heavily edited or fading too early.
There are beginning to be a number of Lionel Richie compilations on the market, but this one is by far the best. Well done Universal.
