This is the 1st Common album i purchased and my first impression
is that Kanye West's production feels overwhelming because at first listen it sounds like a more mature and focused College Dropout.Musically it was hard to tell where Kanye ended and Common began. Common, of course, owns the album with his lyrics but musically this is a Kanye West affair.
Having said that, it's a very enjoyable record.There's no excess fat here. Very lean and crisp.My fav tracks are Testify, Real People, They Say, GO!, Faithful.
