Free Music Notes for Finding ForeverFree Music Review: must have Hit: 4 StarsCommon is a perfect example of smart and witty hip hop. We need more of this music for young ears to hear. My fvorite tracks are the people II and don't break my heart. As a matter of fact the whole CD is pretty nice. I recommend that everyone give it a try. Especailly if you feel like Nas and I that hip hop is dead. But people like common will keep it alive. Peace.
Free Music Review: Tooo short Tooo Hottt Hit: 4 StarsThis is fire love every minute. Quality over Quantity No wonder he is apart of the good music label
Free Music Review: Be-sides Hit: 4 StarsThis is still one of the better hip-hop albuums out this year. Common didn't try to expand on anything here but instead kept the same formula he did from the last album. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Even though this sounds like BE b-sides it's still beyond what alot of cats is putting out right now. Kanye's production seems a little more refined which is great because most producers, after the amount of work he's put in, run out of beats after a while. The only thing that got me was the track with D'Angelo he did. It's not a new track but rather borrowed from a J-Dilla album. I under stand that's his boy and all and you want to keep his spirit alive and all but you could have picked a better track with you on it. Not that it's a bad song it just seemed out of place.
But I digress, if you're a Common fan buy this. If you're a Hip-Hop head buy this. Hell if you just like good music and opened minded buy this. It is definitely worth it.
Free Music Review: Acoustic Healing Hit: 5 StarsThis album is instant vintage, and a requirement for any true music connoisseur. Common dares to challenge the ideology that Hip-Hop is dead with this effort. Indeed we've heard true hiphop sparingly since the mid 90's...Looks like Common, Talib, Kanye and a select few others are determined to reverse the corporate (gangsta) influence on the art form. Thank God for heroes when they come to save the masses from the artlessness of money worshippers...
Free Music Review: This Is The Good Stuff Hit: 5 StarsAs the album begins I feel something inside my heart, but I can't quite explain it. The lyrics start, my head begins to bob, and I smile. There's just something about a quality piece of work that gives you the right vibe. This album is a cruiser and manages to not fail the listener. I seem to be enjoying this one slightly more than "Be". Very deep and juicy hip-hop work by Common.
