Free Music Notes for Finding ForeverFree Music Review: A Common Sense fan's worst nightmare Hit: 1 StarsI've been following Common for a long time, purchasing his CD's to support his music. Back when he was Common Sense a rapper who rapped like a poet. His music had great beats, great lyrics, and it just made you feel good overall.
This new CD was terrible. The lyrics are unoriginal and lame. Choruses overrun the song when before Common was all about his lyrics. I don't know what more to say, I won't be recommending this to anybody.
Free Music Review: Disgusting! Hit: 1 StarsWith the horrible album cover driving me to scratch my skin raw, I gave this album a chance (I was given for Xmas). I was instantly driven to tears with the sound coming from my speakers. Typical "soul" music from a publicly appointed "hip-hop artist". There is nothing smart about this music at all. Nothing engaging or in the least bit attractive. Please do not call this "one named dude" an artist. Simply more trash for used CD bins.
Free Music Review: Uncommon Excellence! Hit: 5 Stars First I'd like to say I've always been a Common (Sense) fan. He has been a great artist for as long as I can remember and probably always will be. The only thing that has kept him from critical acclaim is poor production or inability to reach fans with his more experimental works (Electric Circus). To me this album is what he tried to accomplish with "Be", a piece of work that reaches everyone and is solid throughout. "Be" was a great album but it just wasn't "Finding Forever". In an era where hooks and far from talented artist rule the airwaves Common is a breath of fresh air.
Free Music Review: Drop "Southside" and "Forever Begins" and it's Perfect Hit: 4 StarsThis album is incredible. There are three tracks that I could do without, but the lackluster effort on "Southside" (a horrible track imho), "Forever Begins" and "Drivin' Me Wild" are redeemed by "The Game," "I want You," "U, Black Maybe," "Misunderstood" and "The People." Common is an incredible lyricist. He shows how rap can be and IS true poetry, and Com shines on this album. By the way, it you like this album, you'll love Electric Circus which is Common's most underrated and most slept on release.
Free Music Review: COMMON IS GOOD TO HAVE Hit: 5 StarsTHIS ALBUM AS WHOLE IS GOOD.
COMMON SEEMS TO START AND FINISH HIS ALBUMS THE SAME SINCE HE'S BEEN WITH KANYE.
HE BROUGHT BACK THAT WATER FOR CHOCOLATE ALBUM FEEL. DEFINITELY A REFRESHING FEELING WHEN YOU HERE THIS ONE.
THIS ONE IS A TIMELESS CLASSIC.
