Free Music Review: AMAZING ALBUM - Common is back AGAIN! Short (12 tracks) but indeed sweet

If you enjoyed Be, this is all you. Common is back with another amazing album. I was disappointed that it was only 12 tracks, but I must say that damned if this man didn't pack each track with powerful flows, beats, and charisma. I'm still just starting to listen to this album but I can play it alone over and over and over and enjoy it. I was really amazed by Be, and I'm yet to decide on which is better... but I guarantee you won't be disappointed by this if you enjoyed Be.
As a side note, The People, Start The Show, The Game, and Misunderstood are amazing. Southside is also pretty damn hot. Gotta say I can't get the Misunderstood hook outta my head!

As a lot of actually hip-hop fans know Common has always had a irreplaceable gift for putting poetry (not just rhymes)to beats. As of now i cant really think of anyone besides of course that tight-nit group of Emcees (Kanye, Talib, Mos def, Lupe and Dead Prez) that can compare to Common. From beginning to end the cd flows. But of course he has tracks that express his love for women and even the struggles of everyday life. Examples are "Black-maybe", "Break My Heart", and even "Misunderstood".
My advice to anyone that thinks hip-hop is dead please buy the cd so that u know the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop!!!

First I'd like to say I've always been a Common (Sense) fan. He has been a great artist for as long as I can remember and probably always will be. The only thing that has kept him from critical acclaim is poor production or inability to reach fans with his more experimental works (Electric Circus). To me this album is what he tried to accomplish with "Be", a piece of work that reaches everyone and is solid throughout. "Be" was a great album but it just wasn't "Finding Forever". In an era where hooks and far from talented artist rule the airwaves Common is a breath of fresh air.Free Music Review: Better than I expected

First off let me just say that I'm not a big fan of Common at all. I thought "Be" was one of the most overrated albums of 2005. I found it to be dull, boring, and unappealing. I'm one of those "trend followers" as some of you "real hip hop" fans might say. However I did listen to this album and enjoyed it. The production was good and Common's lyrics were very well written. However just because I enjoyed this CD doesn't mean I'm going to stop listening to "gangsta" rap(I'm listening to Project Pat as I type this). To be honest I havent heard anything worth buying sense Little Brother's LP and Sean Price's Jesus Price. But mainstream rap....NO!!!! With that said there are alot of albums on store racks that get looked over and this will be one of them (sad to say but true). This is an album worth buying twice! After buying every Common album and enjoying all of them....i knew it would be a classic, and Common only proves me right! This is Hip Hop at its best with crazy Kayne beats, and lyrics to make one think about certain things. If you are a fan of rap BUY THIS!!!TWICE!
