Free Music Review: One of the best albums of 2008!

I am writing this review on Sunday, April 6th, 2008.
Upon first hearing the album "Stadium Arcadium" by The
Red Hot Chili Peppers, I told anyone who would listen,
that it would be nominated for Album Of The Year at
the Grammy Awards. And it was. If not for the voters
rewarding The Dixie Chicks for their boldness, it would
have surely been the winner.
Now it is time for my next prediction: Consolers Of The
Lonely will at least be nominated for Album Of The Year,
and probably many other Grammys. Now, I cannot predict
what the voters will choose to reward this time, but trust
me, this Ranoteurs album is one for all time. Yes, it's
that damn good!
Free Music Review: Finally! A record for music lovers.

I'll say it right up front, If you don't like this album, you just don't like good music. This isn't the crap you hear on the radio, this is great rock music and great songwriting, written by some of the most talented musicians around. I absolutely loved Broken Boy Soldiers and this just blows that record out of the water. The songs are much bigger with much more bite. Instead of psychedelic rock like B.B.S, this is much more like Southern Rock, but with a few songs that are basically country songs. Easily one of the best records of the year. Not really a weak spot on the whole album. Best songs are 'Consoler of the Lonely', 'Top Yourself' and 'Carolina Drama' will knock your socks off.Free Music Review: HOLY #^(&!!!

I bought their first album and liked it a lot, so when I heard that they were going to release another album I was pretty excited. This album has totally blown me away. I had pretty high expectations for this album and it just blew right through those expectations and beyond. Its like they sat down and said "alright everyone, the last album was good, but this time we are going to go for the most awesome bluesy sound we can get" and this album does not disappoint. It has been a long time since I've heard an album that just made me smile all the way through it. I enjoy every song so much. I would probably need a new pair of pants if they decided to make another album.Free Music Review: Classic Rock

I've been listening to this album pretty much non-stop for the past 2 weeks.
It is easily the best album of 2008 (even though it's only May).
Consolers of the Lonely sounds like it was recorded in 1974!
Like equal parts White Stripes, The Band, Queen, Judas Priest, The Police, Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull, Phish, Derek and the Dominoes, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Who, King Crimson, CSNY, etc.
"Many Shades of Black" is a brilliant song. I would compare it to Queen and Cream (Queem?).
This is album oriented rock at its finest.
Free Music Review: Great follow up to Broken Boy Soldiers

I am not a huge White Stripes fan, but I absolutely LOVE the Raconteurs songs. This album is a worthy follow up to Broken Boy Soldiers. I think the songs are a bit more complex and may not be as radio friendly as the songs were on their previous cd. That being said, just like their debut cd this one great song after great song. Amazing how they are able to blend sound from the past with their own twists. A bit more White Stripes sound on this album that had virtually none in Broken Boy Soldiers. If you like classic rock, buy this cd. If you like the White Stripes, buy this cd....Buy this cd and Broken Boy Soldiers.
