Free Music Notes for Consolers of the Lonely

Free Music Review: Expect Only The Best
Hit: 5 Stars

Consolers of the Lonely is different than Broken Boy Soldier and in a good way. They have written songs from several genres and made them rock. Broken Boy Soldiers is a great album in its own right. COTL is a different direction and is great for what it is, as well. They have doen great work with lyrics. There are the tell-tale slides from White's guitar that we all love.Track #14, Carolina Drama, is an absolute masterpiece. Terrific lyrics and masterful guitar blended with a great story. This song will live for the ages.

I love Broken Boy Soldiers, but I love COTL for different reasons.

Free Music Review: This is a real band
Hit: 5 Stars

If you have read any of the reviews on other sites bashing this album, don't be fooled. Of course it doesn't sound like the 1st Raconteur album..that would be boring....if you have followed Jack White's career you know that he always changes it up with each album, White Stripes, Raconteurs or any other project that he's involved with. I think the bands songwriting/arranging on this album is supperior to the 1st. Great effort!!! I've been a fan of Jack White since seeing him on a whim at a Detroit bar back in the early Stripe days....this album has now become one of my favorites.....buy it!

Free Music Review: The band is loving it and so will you
Hit: 5 Stars

If this doesn't end up as the best album of the year, then this is a very very good year. The Raconteurs deliver an cohesive, polished but not overproduced, joyous experience. This time around the band has clearly gelled. Rock, blues, country and folk elements abound. The singers are in excellent voice. The band is clearly having a good time and it's great that they invited us to the party.

Every song is good in its own way -- they are not all singles but there are no tracks that you will want to skip. Truly a treat. Hope I get to see them live this time around.

Free Music Review: Album of the Year, at least the first Quarter...
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm not going to write a long review, or a history of the band like some of the other reviewers. All I can say, will say, is that this is probably the best album I've listened to in a long time, and I listen to a lot of music. Previously my favorite song this year was "Bullets" by Tunng, but "Carolina Dream" at the end of this album blows that one away. The composition of that song is pure genius. Jack White, Brendan Benson and company have outdone themselves with this one. At least once a day it's heard over my iPod. I hope this is their last album, because it would be hard to top.

Free Music Review: JAck IS JaCK and the Raconteurs plus the White Stripes w/duet capabilities
Hit: 5 Stars

LOL all you computer geeks!!
Here we are in another century and you're still thinking about Puns and Poses while the real world smells flowers... I appreciate this album...better with every spin and even when it began....it's part of the plan... to move on past the make... we create...stimulate... we don't hate..... SO WHAT!!?? - Give us a break.....

This might be THE BEST Jack White compilation EVER!!!

It's MY Favorite off-white all around album...

Highly Recommended
