Free Music Notes for Consolers of the Lonely

Free Music Review: fantastic!
Hit: 5 Stars

I recently heard the Raconteurs on a local radio station and loved 'Consolers of the Lonely'. After learning that Jack White was part of the group my interest was piqued as I think he is an incredibly talented musician/singer/producer. A friend gave me the CD a couple of days ago and I am listening to it as I type. This one has me captivated. The variety and complexity of the music is just what I would expect from any group which Jack White is involved with. This is a must have!

Free Music Review: Rock is back!
Hit: 5 Stars

I knew I would be seeing this band at Lollapalooza so I checked them out beforehand. All I knew was that Jack White was in the band, and I had never been a big fan of the White Stripes, but the collaboration with Brenden Benson (the other main singer) and the other musicians turned out to be a godsend! This album is incredible, I haven't stopped listening to it since I bought it nearly a month ago. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially anyone who thinks rock is dead.

Free Music Review: Musically AWESOME!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the best albums of 2008... hands down. The combined virtuosity of the members of The Raconteurs makes for musical magic. I could go on and on about this album but I'll just say this... listen to the first cut and then check out "Rich Kid Blues" and then you'll know why you need to buy this album. I tend to be more of a hard rock kinda guy, but I couldn't get this out of my CD player and off repeat on my iPod for weeks! Buy it and you'll see why!

Free Music Review: Fantastic.
Hit: 5 Stars

As a longtime fan of both Brendan Benson and the White Stripes I have to say when you put them together they make a fantastic record. It's a fantastic mix of both of their styles.
At their best the songs on this album ABSORB you. The writing as well as the melody and variety of sound is completely astounding.
(Also, diggin' the banjo on Top Yourself.)
(That's all I'm gonna say, as others have gone into much detail.)

Free Music Review: Best Rock Ever
Hit: 5 Stars

I could listen to this album every day. Vocals and guitars are outstanding, rhythm section outstanding. Excellent songwriting with a good blend of musical styles - not all the songs sound like the same tune over and over. Real musicians playing real music in the age of auto tuned hip hop electronic garbage is always refreshing to me.

ps. I saw the Raconteurs play live two summers ago in Cincinnati. Awesome.
