Free Music Notes for still...Free Music Review: Soulful and infectious! Hit: 4 StarsI heard about this artist listening to the Michael Baiden show...needless to say, Conya Doss is an amazing talent that any lover of neo soul will have to add to their collection. On some of the tracks, I thought her voice was similar to Faith Evans, so if you're a fan of Faith's you will enjoy Conya. I enjoy purchasing CDs that you can put in, press play, sit back and relax - you will want to listen to this from beginning to end. I will definitely purchase more of Ms. Doss' music!
Free Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 StarsThis cd is the best that I have bought in 2008. Excellent vocals, lyrics, Conya Doss is the best artist that you have never heard of. Why she gets no airplay is shameful to me.
I feel this is her best work to date.
Free Music Review: Consistently Amazing! Hit: 5 StarsI was so happy to see a new release from Conya. I've been a fan from her first release and love that she stays true to herself. She's a true artist!
Free Music Review: AAMBC Music Reviews Hit: 5 StarsIt's not hard to realize that Ms Doss is one of the best unknown artists in the industry. Her music is one of the best neo-soul creations I have heard put together. When first listening to a new album you want to get the feel of it, and see if you would like it. But from the first track on Ms. Doss's album, I was drawn in. Her voice is absolutely amazing. Her topic of songs is based off of love and life. Her music id defiantly one of a kind, I love her style and her presence and look to see when her name is well known on a Grammy level.
Free Music Review: LOVE her! Hit: 5 StarsI am a big Conya Doss fan. Why must real music fans work so hard to hear good music nowadays? At any rate, I'm glad I searched and found Ms. Doss. This is the third CD I have purchased from her, and I have not been disappointed yet. My favorites are the ones she does with producer Rodney Jones. They seemed to have been in a real groove in the studio. My absolute favorite song on this project (one of my favorite ballads of this decade) is "What I'd Do". The lyrics (about undying love from a woman's point of view), melody and hook are really strong and she sings it with geniune feeling and emotion. I also really like "Can't Stop" and "Come Over". I enjoy the whole CD. Her voice and pitch are fresh like sitting outside listening to the sounds of spring. Enjoy!
