I put it away and had an urge to listen to it a week later. Since then It is the only CD that stays in my Ipod, I can't stop listening to it, my playcount on my fav song Blues for Percy is something near 200! Grab this CD NOW!
Free Music Review: Why am I just hearing about Dwight? Hit: 5 StarsThis album is good that it will make you mad, when you think about why this cat is SO slept on, while the sheep are all out buying Lil' Wayne and other assorted garbage. When listening to this album, it's so smooth that you can't believe this brother is actually from Tennessee, and that he's been out for over 10 years. There are some real standout cuts on this album, most notably (to me) "Ohio Playas", which showcases another underrated hip-hop contributor, J. Rawls. My other favorite is Antimeridian, which is just dreamy with the beat, and the sample "woke up, turned the drum machine on". And for a ADD brother like myself, the tracks are short enough so that you don't get bored, yet find yourself playing the same track again without even thinking about it. Go cop this, and stop wasting time reading this review!
Free Music Review: Completely Underrated Absolutely Essential Hit: 5 StarsBe one of the few in the know by picking up a copy of this faultless and beautiful album, the beats and melodies will weave themselves into your mind and become part of your life. Perfect for hip hop fans and non hip hop fans alike .. buy it!!!
Free Music Review: some of the best hip-hop I've heard in a minute... Hit: 5 StarsI wouldn't lie to you.
Not only are the beats superb as has been said in previous reviews, but this is one of the better releases from stones throw lyrically as well (save perhaps only Madvillainy). My favorite track is "sanctuary" which is one of the most entrancing songs I've ever laid ears on.
Free Music Review: the best CD by the greatest hip hop producer you've never heard Hit: 5 StarsI never thought I'd like a hip hop artist more than Pete Rock, Common and Blackalicious, but "pound for pound," Count Bass D is better than all of them.
If you're a fan of great music and great hip hop, get Dwight Spitz. This is the best CD to date by this extraordinary artist. Trust me and the other reviewers and buy it ... and track down his other CDs, too.
