Free Music Review: An instant classic
Hit: 5 Stars

Don't pay attention to the average reviews, especially Rolling Stone. None of the "professional" reviewers gave the album a chance. At first, I agreed, it's better than average but nothing great - but as I listened to it a few times - it became more apparant that it's one of those great albums that takes 5 (or so) listens to recongnize its genius. I never thought they could approach August but they've come damn close. For Rolling Stone to fall over themseleves about the new R.E.M. album and give this record 3 stars is criminal - and I'm a big R.E.M. fan.

Free Music Review: COUNTING CROWS KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Bound to be a CLASSIC with the best guitar and all around rock music the Crows have ever displayed (on a record. go see them live!) on the 6 songs in Saturday Nights. Sunday Mornings also has no signs of weakness with great folk music and of course, in depth lyrics by Duritz. "I am a child of fire. I am a lion. I have desires, and I WAS BORN INSIDE THE SUN THIS MORNIN!!!" If your a fan, this is everything we've waited for! If your not, pick up this CD, give it a chance, and you WILL be a fan soon. Quality tunes with NO SELLING OUT. Classic Crows...

Free Music Review: From a longtime Counting Crow fan ...
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been listening to these guys since since "August ..." came out and I have to say this one of the best albums they've ever made. I've enjoyed all their albums but I have to admit this is quickly moved up to my 3rd favorite (behing AAEA and RTS). That's not to say it's not as good as either of those albums but those are landmark albums (for me).

This album is about another time in their careers. It's a great record. Go out and get it. You won't be disappointed.

Free Music Review: Impressive
Hit: 5 Stars

The CD obviously had high expectations, at least from me. there had been some time between Cd's from the crows and i was expecting a lot. It lived up to all the expectations. it is a great cd throughout. The way they made the album into kinda two parts is really interesting. the first half is more uptempo and the second half a little slower. but i have found great songs on both halves. hard to say how it compares to their other albums yet but i would bet it will be right up there.

Free Music Review: Remarkable
Hit: 5 Stars

I was shocked... SHOCKED at how good this album was. My favorite CC songs have always been their up tempo riffs (Mrs. Potters Lullaby, for example).
Since I got the album via MP3 I didn't know about the concept beforehand, but it was evident the first half was everything I wanted and more.

One thing I don't get is why they chose the single they did. 1492 is freaking awesome. There are 3 songs that would have made better singles than what they chose.
