Free Music Review: The Principle Of Evil Made FILTH.

Cradle Of Filth's first official CD. Anything to say? yes, humble beginnings...humble BRUTAL beginnings! Man, I have this CD and I love it more as many times I listen to it! It's compossed by 13 tracks in total, all true Cradle's beautiful pure Black Metal treasures. With a line-up as: Dani Filth(vocals), Paul Allender(guitars), Paul Ryan(guitars), Robin Graves(bass), Benjamin Ryan(keyboards), Nicholas Barker(drums), and Andrea Mayer(female vocals). The two guitars are pure razors, the keyboards are haunting, the bass is...pure 666!, Nic drums are...is necessary say it? simply amazing, and Dani's vocals, for Me are the best of all He ever do. The female singer is not Sarah Jezebel Deva, as many people say, she's a satanist, her name is Andrea,and she's only in this release. Well her voice is not as the Sarah's vocals, but I swear she is a beauty siren too, haunting and wonderful vocals.
And then the songs sets in in that order:
1-Darkness Our Bride(Jugular Wedding). This is a ghostly-vampyric instrumental intro. I don't skip it, it's the first listen to Ben's keyboards.
2-The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh. This is one of my favorites, and the fourth song I heard of Cradle Of Filth. The first time I thought the sound was low...but now I love it so f*cking much!!!
3-The Forest Whispers My Name. The first time I heard this track was in Live Bait For The Dead, and I loved it since that. Obviously, I prefer the original version.
4-Iscariot. This track is a heart-beating sound, and then the keyboards...haunting and sinister. I can't skip this too.
5-The Black Goddess Rises. Probably my favorite. I can't remember another track that bewitched Me in the first listening as this song. I really love the "like-a-demo sound" of it, and I really, really enjoy it ( I mean I play it twice or even more!). I never listen the people that says Me "the sound is sooo bad". For Me, this song without that sound wouldn't be the same.
6-One Final Graven Kiss. My favorite C.O.F. intro is Humana Inspired To Nightmare, but this track is the most beautiful instrumental I ever heard in my life...simply wonderful. I can't skip it too.
7-A crescendo Of Passion Bleeding. This track is a fast and agressive song that shows, with The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh and the following, Cradle Of Filth is the best Black Metal band in all the world. Without discussion.
8-To Eve The Art Of Witchcraft. This is simply a masterpiece, and I wish I could listening to it over and over again without the risk of damage the CD. The intro is absolutely astonishing, with keyboards that sound like a "Dark-Vampyric-Church". The vocals are really f*cking great, and in here you can hear Andrea's voice is so really good and she deserves to be in this release. The track all C.O.F.'s fans remember in this album. Inimitable.
9-Of Mist And Midnight Skies. another great track of the greatest band. YOu'll love this song, the vocals are great and the sound is kick-a**.
10-In Secret Love We Drown. Of course that title fits with the track, cuz it's simply the sound of water. Anyway it's a good instrumental interlude. I can't skip this song too.
11-A Dream Of Wolves In The Snow. Oh, man...the intro with the voice of ex- Cradle Of Filth's drummer and former Anathema's frontman, Darren White is really haunting, with the keyboards and its vampyric overtures in the background. A great, great track. You'll really love it, I swear.
12-Summer Dying Fast. Another song I first listened to in Live Bait For The Dead. I prefer this original version too. Its sound is better and the song is a very good track. It is included in the EP V Empire Or Dark Faerytales In Phallustein too.
13-Imperium Tenebrarum. This is the hidden and "untitled" song the people always say. A great album closer, unless you download the CD, then, you won't have this track.
In conclusion, this is one of My most precious gems, and I won't sell it to anybody. My favorites are The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh, The Black Goddess Rises and To Eve The Art Of Witchcraft.
If you want to experience the first official release of Cradle Of Filth, then you should buy this absolute masterpiece. Know the humble but brutal beginnings of C.O.F, buy this gem, man.It worths the money. I swear you'll not be disappointed in any way, there's not one bad song in it. Pure Black Metal.
