Free Music Review: Thanks Blake Shelton! Love this CD!
Hit: 5 Stars

Love this CD. If it weren't for Blake Shelton, whom I love, I might not have ever discovered Craig Morgan. What a great voice and great music. I love his songs. I love that he's a family man and even more, a man of God. God has obviously blessed him with great talent to sing and write music.

September 27th Update.

The more I listen to this CD, the more I like it. I'd list all the songs I love, but then I'd be listing the whole CD!

Free Music Review: Excellent!
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD is excellent! Anyone who is a true Country Music fan already knows that Craig Morgan is great anyway, but I really enjoy listening to this new CD of his. I play it at work at least once a day. He's one of the artists that still have that real country music sound and I love it! If you like Craig, or good old country music, you'll love this CD!

Free Music Review: More than Tough
Hit: 5 Stars

The song Tough caught my attention on the radio, so I had to track down this album. As a person who almost never listens to Country music, I can honestly say this is a thoroughly enjoyable and first class album. Anyone whose spouse has been touched by breast cancer will be bowled over by the song Tough.

Free Music Review: Here and There : An Average Country Album
Hit: 3 Stars

I got this album at the same time as Josh Turner's "Everything is Fine" and listened to just these two albums almost exclusively for a week. Months later, I must say that Turner's album has more staying power and far more memorable tunes. That should do nothing to take away from the niceness of this record though - because its quite a solid country album. Yes, it did end up underperforming on the charts, but every song here has some degree of single potential, and it's a pity this wasn't marketed more aggressively.

Craig Morgan is the kind of country singer that seems so honest, down to earth, and all-round nice guy, that its difficult to find one thing that's wrong with him or his consistent meat-and-potatoes music. My only concern is that he's way too bland. On "Little Bit of Life" and its' stellar title track (which incidentally is the best song on the album), Craig plays his role exactly as we'd imagine it - an earthy farmer with a devoted family, etc, but the record still lacks an overall personality or one killer track that could make it stand out.

"International Harvester" is the song the album is known for, but the lyrics on some other tracks are quite arresting. Of special note is that wondrous song "The Ballad of Mr Jenkins", as well as the poignant album closer "Look at `Em Fly". Craig's voice is somewhere between Tim McGraw and Randy Travis, and when he sings deep it really befits him. But really, the fact remains that despite this album being good, it isn't as great as it could've been. With performers like Josh Turner around, albums like this only seem weak and lifeless in comparison.

Still, a solid release from Morgan, and a great record for a road trip. Three Stars.

Free Music Review: Craig Morgan: Most under-appreciated Country artist today.
Hit: 4 Stars

Listening to Craig is like taking a walk in a cool light rain that breaks the heat of a hot summer day...it just feels, well, comforting, refreshing and pure.

We have all his albums and there isn't a clinker on any of them. Each song is solid. No fillers.

If you get a chance to see this guy in concert then TAKE IT.

Keep it up Craig. God bless you.
