Free Music Notes for Greatest Hits (w/ Bonus DVD)

Free Music Review: Why compare? Either you like them or you don't.
Hit: 5 Stars

I've always liked Creed. I have the first 3 albums. What intrigued me more than the positive reviews were some of the negative reviews. I don't know the age of any of these detractors so I checked some wish lists to see what they DO like. Some people just like to slam everything. It should just be a matter of preference. I really don't get what anyone could have against Creed though.

As to the "preaching":
There's some really bizarre music out there - which makes sense since there are bizarre people out there. Takes all types to make the world go around. I don't have a problem with that. I understand that people who like the "edgy" stuff generally don't like mainstream. But that bizarre stuff preaches its own values. You preach violence, hatred, racism or reverse racism, sexism or reverse sexism, occult practices, and satanism, guess what, you're still preaching. You don't like Creed preaching some Christian values? Don't like mainstream? Why listen to or review Creed albums then? Doesn't the name "Creed" give you the tip-off? Yes, this is mainstream. It's commercial. People like it and it sells. Some reviews WILL be silly and starry-eyed. Music affects people's emotions. That shouldn't be news.

As to the Pearl Jam comparisons... look, Pearl Jam had one really good album, which I really like. But then what? "Glorified G"? That was rock music? I bought two more Pearl Jam albums (vs and No Code) thinking I was buying hard rock music and sold them at a local CD store, very disappointed. Creed doesn't sound like Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam can't even sound like Pearl Jam. Maybe they've got some newer stuff that's better, I don't know. That's just it though. It's not my cup of tea, so you won't see me reviewing those albums. Some people like Pearl Jam. Some people like Creed. Some people even like both. Imagine that. Hate Creed? Don't listen to it. It's really that simple.

Free Music Review: Worst Band Ever Times Infinity
Hit: 1 Stars

Giving Creed a Greatest Hits album is like giving Adolf Hitler a Humanitarian award. This band is the antithesis of all that is great.

Free Music Review: 2 for the music, 3 for the correct choices
Hit: 3 Stars

My question is this- why?

Why bother buying this Creed album when you can just buy a couple of their regular albums? Even though those albums aren't really anything to write home about either- since after all, Creed was VERY similar to Pearl Jam, and choosing either of the two bands isn't a bad idea either. Just pick which band you like more, and go with that one.

I really never liked "Higher" but it's a hit song so it makes sense that it's featured here. The other songs are all alright as well, but again, Creed or Pearl Jam? Which one do you like more?

Free Music Review: To have all the albums is better
Hit: 3 Stars

I have all the albums elsewhere and this was a shortcut. It doesn't replace them.

Free Music Review: good cd
Hit: 3 Stars

This was used. I wish when people sell used things they make sure that they have the case that go with them.
