Chronicles 2 is the second installment of Creedence Clearwater's greatest hits.
Chronicles 2 has many great songs, its just not the best of CCR'
What really amazes me is......it is very obvious that they left Born on the Boyou off of Chronicles so they had a hook to get you to buy this second edition. It may or not be good business but it is dishonest.
If you want the best of CCR get Chronicles....if you want great songs, but not the very best, get this.
John Fogerty is so good and CCR was so good, you will still enjoy this CD.

A tremendous collection of songs here. The "hits" are primarialy compiled on the first Volume, but there is plenty of worthy music to be found here. "Born on the Bayou", for instance, is essential, as are many songs here like "Wrote a Song for Everyone". But there is also some lesser-quality work here, which makes for a more uneven listen. Throw Vols 1 & 2 in a changer together, hit random, and it's a hell of a listen!Free Music Review: Miss IT !

I bought the Chronicle album not long ago and thoroughly enjoyed virtually all the music on it. Not so for Volume II. Many of these were not nearly as popular and it is painfully obvious why. They were obscure, not well done, or mediocre copies of someone else's work. Unless you are a fanatic for CCR, get the first Chronicle and save your money on this one.
